So Headbutts Aren't Classless?

Who said he shouldn't be pissed? And who said it was justified?
It was a ***** move, but the ref was handling it.

It's interesting that you bring up Tyson-Holyfield as a comparison. First off, I don't agree that Tyson bit him because of headbutts. Tyson bit him because he was taking another ass whuppin.
But for the sake of argument, I'll grant you your point, and say that Tyson was retaliating for headbutts.

Are you then admitting that Tyson's and Mayweather's reactions were similar? If so, since you say you're not justifying Tyson's reaction, then why are you trying to justify Mayweather's.

 

Not at all. I was just pointing out that roughing with the head is common, and that Cortez let it go on in the previous rounds, as other refs do in other fights.

However, being a fighter, I will say that most guys will let you slide with one foul but not with two. After the second one things could get ugly.

Raking his head back and forth I would call even with the holding because Floyd hits on the breaks.

So, knowing he's holding you waiting for the ref to break it and then hit you on the break, thats cheap and dirty. Nobody is just going to let him continue to do that to them.

 

Ortiz should have been DQ'd and suspended IMO. I would have like to have seen Floyd KO while Ortiz was trying to fight back, not in the middle of an apology.

Headbutts and sucker punches are for cowards.

Listen what you guys tend to blatantly fail to own up to is the elbows he was using during the fight, and if you watch the headbutt, a split second before Floyd Elbowed him in the face which is why Ortiz butted him its called fighting fire with fire....

and regarding Holyfield Tyson its like Mills Lane said there is a difference between a butt and a bite...
in this case there is a difference between a but and a sucker punch
