I don't know what fans you're talking about, I wasn't one to label Pavlik a 'bum' overnight.

BHop's 50/50 tactical/counterpunching style is definitely more suited to facing a come forward aggressor like Pavlik who has lesser handspeed, than a quick & powerful counterpunching southpaw like Bute who's currently on top of his game. That's why I see BHop being respectful of Bute's power, with Bute having a chance to pierce a good number of holes in Nard's defense.

That brings me back to the fact BHop is calling out one of the top dogs at 168 well knowing that guy has way more interest in mixing it up with the other top dogs at 168 for credibility's sake, and rightfully so.

On a side note, why exactly are half your "BHop"s in capital, and every single one of your "Bute"s in capital? Do you TALK like that in real life? :p

So they had very ordinary fighters in the Oh Great Super Six Tourney semi-finals alongside Ward & Froch, I suppose... :?

You're correct, no chance that Bute fights BHop at 175. That would be extremely stupid considering it's now common knowledge he's been slowly building his body up for the LHW division, saying over & over that he wants to clear the division up before moving to 175.

    Dismissed.

Johnson got into the semis by default. Oh no sorry he beat Allen Green. Big deal.

He has never been a top 168lber. Ever. The ultimate gatekeeper.

    Froch's 5th or 6th best win, Bute's best.

Thanks for confirming that you think the S6 included gatekeepers rather than only top fighters in its 2nd most important stage.

You know, anybody can troll the **** out of any fighter...

...take the entire Super Six for example.

    [TROLLMODE/ON]

Taylor - shot to oblivion. Naturally gasses after 8-9, entering the S6.

AA - the brainless turtle couldn't adapt to 168 because the size advantage he had over the top 10-15's he fought at MW was non existent at SMW, exposed for struggling with quick boxers and being very, very unidimensional.

Froch - got floored by shot Taylor, outfoxed vs Dirrell who made him look slooow, lost to Kessler being open most of the fight.

Dirrell - no heart. Just no heart. Will never be elite.

Kessler - got trashed to a TD vs up & comer Ward, planned to duck Bute by fighting Bouadla (!!!) for the vacant WBO Euro belt aiming at WBO "champ" Stieglitz who got TKO'ed by both Berrio and Andrade.

Ward - best headbutt talent, Hopkins University graduate, dirty fighting religious fukk in the division.

Green - average power, got hurt big time vs Miranda. Fell for Ward's wrestling game and lost a wide UD. Got KTFO by "Old Johnson".

Bika - blueprints designed by Calslappy & Bute. Ward got hit by rights on the inside, decided to lean on Bika's left eye using his forehead and, ultimately, all his momentum. Switched to southpaw, big surprise there, and landed big lefts on the side/back of Bika's head. Classy stuff.

Old Johnson - KO'ed Green where as Green had his moments vs Ward, landed big rights & left hooks on Froch in rounds 7-8, got dominated by Bute who he respected so much he very seldom followed the missing jabs with overhand rights fearing the counter body left hooks & uppercuts. In fact when he did connect with overhand rights, not more than 4-5 I'd say -feel free to point them out, Bute took them as well as Froch did.

Did Golovkin start out as a LHW too? :huh

Look at Bute vs Thysse or Obede Toney... substantially less muscle on his shoulders, biceps & triceps.

Muscle weighs more than fat for a given volume, right?

Bute stepping up to LHW or even fighting B-Hop should not be a problem, stop dressing it up as an idiotic/foolish move for Lucien.

For what it is worth I think one of the S6 finalists will fight Bute and the other will fight B-Hop.

You wish Bute to go to Hopkins instead of beating your boy, but it wont happen, he will "duck" a 175 while at 168 and try to have his shot against the best 168 (S6 winner). You might want to see what "duck" means in a dictionary because you dont seems to know.

I know that some boxers are doing this all the time going up and down in weight, but it's not good to do so. When Bute will go at 175 he will not go back at 168 ever, he will be a 175 with the muscle that comes with it. You might have seen this already in the last two years his body has changed.

If 2 years ago after the Andrade rematch Bute have choose to go to 175 history shows us that he might have been able to have a better run and better fights. But he choose (maybe wrongly) to stay at 168. Now that the bad part (never ending S6 tourney) is near its end you want Bute to go up at 175 now? Either you made a little mistake (I forgive you) or your trolling (just go away).

I didn't label it as a 'foolish' move to start with.

Besides, don't take my word for it, look at Eric Lucas' assessment:

" Il veut d’abord faire le ménage dans la catégorie des 168 livres. Lucian aurait trop de difficulté à grimper à 175 livres puis redescendre à 168. Le corps humain est complexe, tu ne peux pas prendre de la masse musculaire puis revenir à ton ancien poids sans conséquence"

    **********************

"He wants to clear the 168 lbs division first. Lucian would have too much difficulty going back down to 168 after going up to 175. The human body is complex, you can't put on muscle and go back to your previous weight class without consequences."

Especially since Bute is from Romania.
