I'm Canadian and think the s6 winner would beat Bute (especially Ward) but, I don't think that not fighting Hopkins is a duck at all he's a weight class bigger.
Hopkins gets his first KO since De La Hoya. Bute finds out that fighting an A level fighter is much harder than a C to B+ (Johnson at a push) one.
At his age, Hopkins can't dominate a fighter more than he has done with Pascal, who was never hurt. He won't KO anyone. He didn't even KO Jones jr...
The Jones fight was shocking, I think it was two guys trying to prove that they knew more dirty tricks than the other. Probably the worst fight I have ever seen. Pascal was hurt to the body once or twice, and Jean is very solid in terms of punch resistance.
Punch resistance and boduwork are two different things. I see anything in what you write that explains why Hopkins could KO Bute when he didn't KO anybody in years. Except your bias towards Bute.
You are a Froch fan. Froch beat Pascal, who also lost to Hopkins. If Hopkins is a genius, that raises Froch' stock. Listen, I don't mind if you think Hopkins can win against Bute but you have to bring some real facts about a KO. So far, you didn't. Hopkins is old, his last KO was in 2003 (!), he throws one punch at a time and he doesn't have one punch KO power. YOU have to prove your point. Anyway, that fight won't happen. If Hopkins really wanted to face Bute, who already signed with Showtime, he wouldn't have signed with HBO. It's a bit late now. He can call Bute all he wants, it is contractually impossible for both men to withdraw from their contract. More, Bute finally will be able to face the best of his division. I want him to face Froch, Ward or Dirrell. I would even prefer Pascal to Hopkins if I had the choice.

That's because you can't refute the points because they are factual. Bute's first 6-7 defences are worse than Ottke's. That's not hating, that's a fact.
