Oh sheesh, we've been over this a million times. Floyd's team obviously needed the catchweight or they wouldn't fight. Ask yourself why would Canelo voluntarily want have a catch weight limit? Why would Canelo want to be robbed of his purse if he doesn't make 152? Both men are 154-lb champions. Canelo's trainer is on record saying that Floyd would not take the fight unless it was at a catchweight. That's why he is the catchweight king, because he made such a big deal about how Pacquiao drained Cotto with a catchweight, and how he still considered Cotto an undefeated fighter because of it. It was Floyd's way to "even things out" since Floyd was too scared to fight Canelo at the normal weight. And by the way, I find Floyd's recent comments about how boxing is "too watered down" completely laughable, considering what he pulled in this fight. Maybe boxing is watered down Floyd because you needed a ***** weight to have a freaking mega fight vs Canelo since you're too scared to defend your title at the normal weight!
well you know. Floyd has to fight his opponents at big handicaps in order to make it fair. That's why they want him to fight Sergio and GGG
I dont get this boxing forum conspiracy to try to minimize everything Floyd does in boxing. Its really quite sad to watch. Are people that upset that he has dominated the sport for 10+ years?
The weight would only be an advantage if Canelo was diverting attention from his training to address it. That doesn't appear to be the case.
Perhaps he will be even faster at that weight? Who knows. However, I do not believe anything that Void says period. Everything Void says it true and everything Canelo says is a lie? Void is a woman beater!
