Did I state 2 years ago that this is going to be the pattern?

    Tune-up- vacation- tune-up- vacation.

Least everybody would forget. He will always need tune-up for a fighter he never intends to fight.

I read an interview that Floyd gave. He said he did talk to Konzc and told him there was nothing to talk about as long as the lawsuit was in place. Arum can say anything he wants in terms of what HE did to make the fight cuz Floyd won't even enter into negotiations. I know this is inconvenient for Floyd fans because they keep ignoring this and claiming Floyd called Pac out. You can't have this both ways guys. You can't say he called Pac out and then tell Koncz to go away when he shows up.

It's funny how some people only take boys at his word when it suits them. While we are taking Mayweather at his word,he also said he doesn't know who Koncz is. How can Arum open any sort of talks with Floyd, if you he's sending people to talk to Floyd and Floyd doesn't even know them?

I don't understand why Floyd would need a Mexican.

Floyd will light up Cinco De Mayweather 2012 regardless of whether it is a Mexican. He's been doing it for years on that weekend.

Koncz ain't no promoter, he's an advisor. Meaning he don't negotiate ****. The only purpose of his visit was to kiss Floyd's ass. I've yet to hear about any of them contacting Al Haymon or GB. You know, the people who actually do the negotiating. But if this is a sign of them maintaining some sort of friendly relationship so that when Christmas is over they can resume actual negotiating then I'm all for it.

So, are you willing to admit Floyd is as full of crap as Arum? That's all I'm getting at here. People believing anything from either side are pretty naive, let alone putting there efforts and reputations into defending them.

Bottom line, anyone that thinks Floyd isn't as full of **** as Arum is delusional. Yeah, people are picking and choosing what they want to believe in all of this and I'm getting my jollies pointing out the obvious to people that are so wrapped up in defending their side that they leave threads sometimes to avoid answering.

No, Mayweather is not as full of it as Arum. The fact that Arum is sending over gopher that Mayweather doesn't even know to begin talks, and bringing in investors with no shot of being involved in this fight is proof of that. I don't take what Mayweather says as gospel, but I can survey the situation and give an educated guess as to what's going on.

Of course Floyd is full of crap! Floyd is one of the biggest bullshitters in Boxing. He puts his foot in his mouth at least 5 times a month. That's nothing new. He's been doing it for years. He contradicts himself as often as any other boxer in the sport. The thing is his haters wanna nitpick any and everything that he does because, well they wouldn't be haters if they didn't. His fans will say what he said was stupid but will blow it off because it really isn't that big a deal.

Did anyone really believe him when he said he plans to fight in Feb? I sure didn't and it wouldn't have mattered either way.

My guess is Floyd 'won' round one with "take the test". Pac filed the lawsuit and Mayweather has refused to talk about negotiations ever since. That would be consistent with his claims that negotiations never took place because he personally had no intentions until his second demand was met. "Drop the lawsuit". Now Arum was free to appear as though he was being earnest because he knew Floyd wasn't budging. That's my educated guess.

It's the 'fan boys' that pick and choose that I post for. :D They hold to one point as 'proof' and ignore the obvious contradictions. My personal opinion is that he hasn't shown much interest in making the fight and his telling Koncz he wouldn't negotiate until the law suit is dropped seems to fit that. Floyd's problem now is he used up his 'big wish' with take the test. Now he wants another big concession. That looks bad for him since most people believe this law suit goes away with a signed contract.

If you only fight every 18 months, is it not logical to have a tune-up first before facing a fighter like PAC or Martinez? Ring inactivity, you know?

You're basing your argument on an offhanded comment made during an informal conversation. If that's the basis of your educated guess, than your educated guess is not very educated.
