Is Helenius finally back, or was this a one-off?

  1. Yes. Helenius looked great. The arm and hand are healed. He is motivated and ready to go.

He's a 'could of been' type. Sometimes, class shows, even when that class is well past it. It showed on the weekend. He looked buggered before he pulled it out. If he is still prepared to have a real go in fights from here on in, he'll still be very dangerous, early against nearly anyone. I see him running out of steam and getting stopped against the best.

He hadn't showed me anything that wasn't 10 years old. He looked to be at the right place and at the right time with Kownacki, I mean the guy got ko'ed by Washington who I think has dropped below gatekeeper level.

Helenius looked pretty good a few years back. He picked up some injuries and hasn't looked the same since. He didn't really impress me beating Kownacki, who didn't look like he'd trained. They both looked limited, imo. Robert had a good night, but that was a sloppy bout.

He was winning easily....but got caught with a very fortunate punch by a fading Washington.

We don't know how is his stamina these days. If he can improve his stamina he can go on a winning streak since the HW division is wide open.

You know, I hadn't thought about the fight as a whole but you're right. It was a sloppy bout hardly worthy of the winner getting a title shot.
