    I'm glad you brought up leonard he was the first fighter that made me dislike catch weights. Don't get me wrong i know catch weights have a long history in the sport going back i think at least to armstrong's time if not earlier, but i was very young and i thought that if the lalonde fight would have taken place without a catch weight ray would've gotten ko'ed. So i felt like the catch weight cheated lalonde out of his victory. Then there was the robbery of whitaker by chavez that was at a catch weight. Anyways i've never liked catch weights as you can probably tell, and don't excuse them from anyone. I even disliked hopkins when he was asking Roy Jones Jr. for a "reasonable, reasonable catchweight"

    2) I wasn't talking about Pacquiao specifically and did not lend an opinion on whether his fights at catchweight were fair or not...read carefully before responding.

    But to answer your question (since you asked)...the smaller man is favored when the bigger man is weightdrained (i.e. slow and sloppy) lol
