So Jacobs is a top opponent or not?

Of course Jacobs is a top fighter. Canelo is too, some people simply think he'll have Jacobs' number.

I personally expect a close decision for Canelo ...

I'm certainly not predicting an easy win for Canelo. Jacobs' height and reach give him something he can base his strategy upon. That should force Canelo to come forward. Canelo likes the opposite, he likes people to come to him, so he can fight within his shell and counter. That is what makes this fight much tougher for Canelo. With Golovkin vs Canelo, it was a different story as they were always close to each other and it was easier to land. Canelo could fight how he wanted against GGG.

If Canelo decides to stick to his game, then Jacobs can fight similarly to how Khan did. Quick jabs, in and out of range. If Canelo comes out of his shell, then Jacobs needs to make sure he maintains distance and resets Canelo's thinking with quick one-twos. Jacobs needs to avoid the ropes. That's where he is most vulnerable as Canelo can get big body shots off and corner him.

It's more a question of whether Jacobs can keep it going for the whole 12 rounds. As Khan showed shortly, it's all about staying with the basics and staying away from Canelo.

Let me say this, if Jacobs joined WBSS 168 last year, he'd have a good chance of winning the whole thing.

Jacobs is very difficult for any body, I'd argue especially canelo, Jacobs has one of the most underatted jabs in boxing, it's most effective when he's on the back foot and changing direction.

No one trusts the judges Do they trust the commissions ?? After all a member said he asked Bib Bennett if he was going to talk to Adalaide Byrd about the ludicrous 118-110 card he said "No Adalaide is one of my best judges she just had a bad night{" & laughed. Makes you wonder if the judges are just following orders doesn't it ????

I truly don't care too much for Canelo as a person but I gotta respect his skills. He has really improved and he will test Jacobs chin. I don't have much faith in Jacobs chin and I think that will be his undoing. I think that Canelo will stop him.

Funny post, but nobody's dumb really, it's a game of opinions (and unfortunately at times agendas).

Before Jacobs fought GGG he was a very good fighter with a poor chin that even Sergio Mora put down hard. GGG was going to kill him.

After he schooled GGG and got robbed he was elevated through the roof and people forgot about his chin issues (even though GGG barely landed anything of note the whole fight)

Now people must be remembering his frailties again I guess.

Jarrett Hurd thinks he would just run right through Jacobs and I believe him!!

Jacobs and canelo are the best middleweights! On May 4 th we will find out who is number 1 abd number 2.

People here are weirdos! Those are the ones that said canelo would never fight Jacobs because Jacobs is the best and blah blah blah! Now canelo is fighting Jacobs and Jacobs is a bum!
