Clev is still young and way to green to be put in the ring with dawson. Although i don't rate Dawson especially after last nights perfomance. B-hop, Froch would school him.

You're the one complaining that he isn't a real champion, neither is Dawson.... catch my drift, you sound so angry because you know american boxing is in the gutter.......

Cool Jack, you have to resort to semantic arguments now :thumbsup. Okay, "sparked" was a bit strong of a term to use, he still got hurt by someone with a 21% KO rate. A big puncher shatters his jaw. You can't even refute the other more important points too, like that he's a fraud of a champion.

He was supposed to fight Braehmer yet he was avoided. Braehmer pulled out like a coward so why fault Cleverly for that?

After 22 fights, Cleverly was going to fight Braehmer and at that same point, the best Dawson had fought was Harding. Cleverly, so far, has fought better opposition than Dawson did. Brancalion, McIntosh and Murat were decent fighters and better than the bums Dawson beat.

I think it's more than semantics. "Sparked" means knocked out, usually brutally, not hit with a couple of clean shots which you laugh at.

Cleverly has a great chin. He laughed at those punches and wasn't hurt.

Thats even worse. The counter puncher got outboxed. That IS laughable then. I cant even imagine someone taking that tact with Andre Dirrell. It would be so one sided it wouldnt be funny. Just shows how weak DeGale is, that not only was he taken out of his comfort zone because he cant adapt, but he got out boxed when he's supposed to be the boxer.
He has no head movement and is far slower then Dirrell. How is he more technically skilled? Whens the last time you seen Dirrell getting peppered with one two's jabs and getting hooked off the jab. Ever in his career was Dirrell for one moment outboxed in such a manner as easily as Groves was doing it to Degale. :rofl

Tell me dope, if DeGale is such a great counter puncher why couldnt he counter Groves jab or straight right to the body?
Got up off the canvas to beat Adamek. Got rocked by Johnson and finished the fight brawling with him. Then gave him a rematch. Was getting beaten by Pascal and yet nearly knocked him out in the latter rounds. Yes no heart.

Cleverly has no power. He only has 11 Ko's in 22 fights. So basically he'd have to outbox Dawson. Sorry that aint happening. He's lucky to have a title

Look at this ****, cant even dominate a journeyman. :rofl

Tarver is retired.... so how do you expect Cleverly to fight him, Adamek has moved up and Johnson......... who hasn't beaten Johnson:lol:

By the way as you clearly know F all about British boxing, I'll just educate you a second, Clev is only 24, he has been studying for a Maths Degree in University..... he has been a part time boxer, now he is concentrating on boxing full time and he has quickly picked up the WBO strap deservedly or not, he has beaten Unbeated Murat 22-0 before fighting Braehmer and he handled him easily.

Braehmer is a scrub. So what.

At 23 fight Dawson took the title from Thomas Adamek. A proven champion. Who is Cleverly's next opponent.

Clev power is underated due to his stats, where his power has increased as he has grown as he is still young and yeah he looked bad in that fight but the opponent changed with hardly any notice and the boy is still green even though his world champ.

I think Degale, Groves and Cleverly are all a work in progress. I wont judge them too harshly yet, as they all still need more experience before being talked about on the world class scene.
