That matchup has to be with James Toney theres really nobody else out there open to fight other than Eddie Chambers who just had a matchup earlier this month but I think it should be James Toney I think all of us would love to see what he can do against Vitali and who else is there with a name in the heavyweight division can Vitali fight? the only person out there is James Toney
I agree. The point is: Who else will be available? Chambers and Areeola are better choices but it is very likely that they won't be available. Kevin Johnson will face Solis. That leaves guys like Brewster, Toney, Ruiz, Maskaev. Toney is the biggest name of the lot and I could see HBO approving this fight.
I'm guessing that HBO is planning to show an "encore" of that weeks Entourage, Hung, and True Blood on September 12th. As for Vitali, he'll find a lame repalcement...maybe he can finally get it on with Rahman.
IMO, the september 12 card is completelly off now and Vitali will go after Arreola in LA, by October, with PW on the card, or they organize a new card just for this fight and Goosen puts another of his HWs at PWs card. Maskaev is either left out or will have to accept a lesser fight. No real opponent out there now for Vitali, other than Arreola.
Maskaev keeps his head too still and his chin is glassy..... BUT! Maskaev is a good boxer / puncher who trains hard..... I respect the dude.......... thumbsup:hat Toney has slown and is ready to fall....... If Toney fights on until 2010, and faces a good fighter with power and skills, Toney might suffer his first KO loss......... I see Toney flirting with disaster by carrying on in boxing after age 40...... bbb:hey:| MR.BILL
It goes to show EVERYONE that the "K" brothers are head and shoulders above everybody else in the division...... It's such a shame that a 38 year old champion cannot find a suitable opponent to be ready by Sept 12, 2009......... Man, these current top-10 pretenders are totally gutless and lack balls..... Back in the old days, a whole spitload of worthy fighters would be lining up to get a title shot that's still 6 to 7 weeks away....... Nowadays, our current lot needs 3, 4 or 6 MONTHS to prepare....... Weak....... :hatadminatsch:shock::roll::rofl:bbb MR.BILL
That is of course a possibility. But will Goossen let him?IMO, Arreola seems to be still green and does not have enough of experience to face someone of the caliber of Vitali. But it is possible, you are right.
Somebody has got to be in good shape and willing to fight for the goddamn title on Sept. 12.................. It is still 6 to 7 weeks away......... WTF? Who has got some balls?? Give V.K. and his guys a call.................... LOOK! Even a quick "SUB" who is in the top-10 will bank at least 500 K to 1 million smackers as an opponent in Europe..... How do you pass that by??? MR.BILL
Arreola refused to fight Vlad and will most likely refuse to fight Vitali. Haye will be left out because looks like Ruiz and Judd Burstein will stop Valouev from fighting Haye anyway. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=20562&more=1
To be fair, Arreola refused to fight Wlad on 2 weeks notice. Now, he has much more time to prepare so it is possible but only if Goossen agrees which I doubt.
I am a "Fan" of Jimmy Toney, however, he'll be killed by either "K" brother............. Folks, that could be gross looking, as well.......... Toney talks the talk, but he will not walk the walk.......... Cheerio..... MR.BILL
