Mike Jones doesn't use his height correctly and tends to fight at midrange or just paws. He has an amateur style and isn't a heavy hitter. His speed is ordinary at this level, nothing outstanding, but not slow either.

He's also not too hard to find. If anything, Mike Jones fights somewhat similiar to Khan in utilizing foot movement, but he's stronger than Khan, albeit slower, and probably doesn't punch as hard.

Basically, all he has is size. Jones could make it a boring ass fight by basically running away from Floyd and pawing with his jab, and forcing Floyd to walk him down, but even then, Jones is easy to find.

I don't understand the hype with this guy. Soto Karass is nothing special. Even in the rematch, Jones wasn't impressive.

He still had the same fundamental flaws that start with his balance.

I don't see this guy ever becoming a star. He's too flawed from a fundmenal standpoint, and there is nothing that he has from a physical level to overcome his fundamental flaws apart from size.

You say he's improving, but a guy at this level shouldn't have those types of fundamental flaws.

If you said something like, his right hand isn't developed enough, that's one thing.

IE Cotto back in the day, but even then, Cotto still had correct fundamentals and was a solid fighter with good balance.

Jones doesn't have the balance established yet. Without the right balance, and without the right tools, he won't ever be elite.

I'd consider Floyd a 147 class fighter. I don't think Pac does anything against him if i'm being honest, but in saying that, I always bet against Pac, and lose!!

I don't see how ya'll are sayin his balance is good. That's the biggest flaw in his game. He mostly throws arm punches too.

I was talking about who is out there to fight him now, not in the past.

yeah I just didn't get the idea of Coralles and Jones being similar in styles. I really can not understand the hype behind this kid. It's somehow beyond me as it was with Jacobs for example.

No, no, not styles... we have our wires crossed. I was referring to size, range etc - Corrales had similar physical attributes, but used them differently, hence, unsuccessfully.

As for my opinion that Jones is the most likely shot, i'm not saying he's a world beater, or the best fighter in the division right now, I just think that stylistically, he has the potential to pose Floyd more problems than anyone else out there right now.

NO one, Floyd beats everyone. He could beat Pacquiao and Sergio on the same night.
