NO IBF will extend the sept date to december. No drop of belt. They will start talks soon with Povetkin

CHEF, I heard Wlad has been banned from fighting in the state of New York for inducing a massive sleeping episode for 20,000 fans at Madison Square Garden.

Can you confirm this? Will Wlad be facing any criminal charges?

If I were Wlad I would go to Showtime for a fight or two. Same with Vitali. HBO would be sick if the Vitali-Haye was on their main rivals network. I know Finkel has a good relationship with the Showtime execs from his time with Tyson. :smoke

The ONLY problem I see with ESPN is they have the college football contracts and the season starts first week of September. I can't see them showing a Boxing fight live from Germany at 5PM in the afternoon on a College Football Saturday. Don't get me wrong I would love it if it was on ESPN but I would be shocked if it happens if Vitali fights in September. With Wlad they could do it in December because the season is over by then. Either way it would be huge if either fight on ESPN which is in over 100 million US homes.

Good Point about football. Wlad has been talking to me about it. He is pissed about HBO. We will see what happens. Im sure it will be good for the fans in the US and the Klitschko's if its on ESPN:good:good

HBO did the right thing. Chagaev was 100% tomato. He can be pissed all he wants. Its time to step up or shutup.

its better for boxing to have fights be on regular ass cable.

boxing needs to find its way back to free tv.

btw, chef, how are you so involved w/ the klitschko camp?

It would be nice if Wlad could fight twice more this year. September and December would be wonderful as long as nothing happened to make him need extra time (cut, injury etc.)

It would be stupid for Povetkin to stay unbusy until September, maybe he should fight Chambers again.
