So why are people hyping Jacobs?

Honestly I think what happened there is that Loeffler was saying that the WBA should order a purse bid expecting Jacobs to back out in enough time for them to find another opponent, but instead the WBA extended negotiations which killed any chance of them finding someone else by the Dec date. This PPV thing is definitely because of Jacobs and I also think it will sell poorly which hurts Golovkin but probably doesn't affect Jacobs sincne I doubt he was ever going to be a ppv star in the first place. I also think the timing of this is going to hurt Golovkin's 4 fights in 2017 idea. This fight is in March, I think even if he takes no damage the earliest fight after this that he could make would be in June. I think we're just going to get 3 fights out of Golovkin max right now.

yeah I totally agree whilst some are saying Jacobs is from New York as appose to Lemieux as a PPV this fight will bomb big time and like you say given all this A side B side crap they'll jump all over that?

 

Fight shouldn't be on PPV.

Jacobs is not a bum, he was an amateur standout, and has one loss in the pro ranks. He is a power puncher, with a better scalp on his resume, than triple G has on his. I think Triple G ends up KO'ing Jacobs, but he is definitely going to get chin checked.

 

Jacobs is not an A level fighter. He may be A level compared to the other current 160lb'ers, but he is a good B/B+ fighter overall.

 

I disagree. Some of you lame's think that a loss, especially a KO loss=a fighter is a bum. But which fighters over the past 20yrs, besides Floyd have; fought good competition, not taken a L, nor been knocked down with over 25 fights? If Jacobs is a bum, what does that make everyone else at 160?

 

Honestly, I'm the minority in this but I still want to see Korobov vs Golovkin. I want to see Korobov get built up again. They have a history which makes the fight have a story which is something I think can enhance the fight.

Let's be honest; Jacobs is being hyped because is a Black American with a bunch of stoppage victories and looks like he can probably preacher curl more than Golovkin.

That is the only bait one needs to fish for stupid marks in this game. Hell; people picked Willie Monroe Jr because he was ripped yet lacked any semblance of a punch. His Cuban hybrid style was supposed to give GGG all sorts of issues.

If Quillen had clipped Jacobs early instead, even more would be picking him to win because he would have been unbeaten unlike Jacobs.

 

I am a real GGG fan, ive been following for a while now. I just hope he doesn't take Jacobs lightly. I've been to 3 golovkon fights. Always fun
