I believe you need to use some "??" because I don't know what side of your comment you're actually on.. :?
I'm talking about Joe Louis, the guy who knocked out 23 opponents in 27 title fights and had great punching technique. Frazier is a toss up, but I'd take Joe's left hook as a more powerful punch than any of Wlad's punches
Louis hit harder than either Klitschko. The idea Wlad or Vitali could stop Baer in four rounds is just impossible. Louis was a much better and harder hitter than either brother.
If you're talking actual impact, Wlad may be one of the hardest ever. But judging by overall punch effectiveness , Wlad could be considered less effective than Joe Frazier. Example: consider Ali getting floored by the perfectly timed left hooks of Henry Cooper and Joe Frazier. George Foreman certainly had a much more powerful shot than either Henry or Joe, but was certainly less effective against Ali. When you see Joe Louis winning 24 of 27 title fights by KO, thats damn effective punching as well. And in boxing effect is what counts, as mere impact doesn't always get the job done.
I was thinking that when I read his post. If he has seen more than a highlight video of either, I'd be surprised. He has no knowledge of history at all. I expect him to wander in and say guys like Peter or Chagaev were tougher than Baer or some other nonsense. Boxing, to people like him, is accurately marked down by BoxRec. It doesn't matter how good a fighter is or what happens in a fight, the only thing that matters is the end result which doesn't give you half of the story.
a massive no no jack....does vitali not knocking out kevin johnson ruin his record??no not at all..y ??because he came to survive 12 rounds just like haye did..you dont have to be an atg to stay on the outside to avoid big shots to go the distance hopeing you land a huge shot of your own...sorry but that post is poppy ****
Louis and Frazier hit harder than Wlad even though they give up like 30-40lb in muscle weight? What's next? Pac hits harder than Bhop? atsch
Primo Carnera was heavier than either Klitschko and has a similarly impressive knockout record. Who do boxers of that era talking about as having the most power, him or Louis? Louis. Size beyond 230lbs, historically, is a hindrance. The biggest punchers in history were mostly between 215-230lbs.
