Adamek-Haye would be a real pointless waste of time. Hayes too good to fight Price, Fury but Adamek is okay? Haye needs to fight Pulev, Arreola, Povetkin, top level heavys and prove his worth. Even Cunningham or Chambers would be better and fight again later in the year.
adamek makes sense though mate cos it took vitali 9rounds to do him if haye stops him earlier it again makes a statement to the general public Also, adamek is still quite a marketable name
I would have liked to seen Haye/Adamek back at Cruiserweight, I think it would have been a more competitive fight than it would be now, I think Haye stops him mid rounds quite comfortably.
In the unlikely event of Fraudley winning on Sat, then don't be surprised by Haye v Fraudley rematch. Surely there are not 20,000 mugs around who have bought tickets for Haye v TBA
It's likely that guy with the really long name that I won't even try to spell. Just glad it's not Charr, Haye would KO him in the 1st round, probably with the first punch and it wouldn't prove anything. I think he is taking the **** with this though, no opponent or TV channel weeks after the announcement. I personally think it's a case of he came back expecting HUGE fanfare and attention (which he has got to an extent with the sold arena) but hasn't quite got what he expected in terms of universal positive feedback. Sky have told him they don't want to know, BoxNation may not be able to get on their schedule so he may be relegated to Primetime. People have lost interest in him over the last year, people care more about Fury and Price now when a year ago they were just prospects. Majority of his fans in the UK are mainstreamers, not hardcore fans. By mainstreamers I mean people who know him because they read about him in the S*n and see him on chat shows and stuff. If he really was still a megastar like he was when he world champion 18 months ago then he wouldn't have needed to have gone on I'm A Celeb to keep his profiel up and also Sky would be rushing to have him on, regardless of any deal with Matchroom. He's still the UK's biggest name in my opinion, just the margin between him and other fighters has slimmed a bit now.
Spot on mate I was in Hamburg for the Klit fight and the Brits gave him serious **** on his return from the ring as we all felt conned as he showed no interest in winning the fight. People do not forget when they are ripped off and it is hard to believe that there are still 20,000 people willing to support him v TBA.
I agree that it doesn't look good that TV or an opponent is in place yet. Sky might pick up the card soon- if not it'll be on Boxnation as Primetime seemingly have dropped off the radar recently. Adamek is a decent shout for an opponent as Vitali has recently fought him.
Haye is in a unique position he wants the fight with a Klitschko, most likely Vitali although he would probably settle on the Wladimir rematch, when looking through his career he hasn't always fought the highest level of competition despite the clear advantage he has in speed and reflexes in the heavyweight division, the issue he has now is that it appears as though he isn't getting an easy road to either Klitschko and in order to move up in the rankings he is going to have to fight someone who could very well beat him the question is will he try to take an easy route like he has in the past? OR will he actually try to establish a legacy and not be viewed by a lot of people as a joke? Either way i'm very curious to see how this comeback works as i think outside of the Klitschko brothers he has the potential to beat everyone else in the division, but will he? I hope he takes a chance here and try's to establish himself as a legit threat in a rematch with Wladimir or a fight with Vitali.
If this was the case would they need to stop selling tickets soon so Matchroom could sell them through their website/undercard fighters?
Bloody Haye He may be the best in Britain but on the world scene he is a nobody, both Klits would handle him with ease. Wladimir Klitchko told David Haye the first time they met "talk is cheap". That's all Haye is,talk....
