Well he knocked him out didn't he, stupid. I guess no matter what a european fighter does it ain't enough. He shut out larry donald, and
knocked out chris byrd in under 15 fights. The kids the best heavyweight prospect in the world by far, and he WILL be champ.
Also, his skillset and power are world class. He'll knock brock or chambers out. Bet it !!

Why? German money spends just as well. I doubt they have a future in America anyway. Germans like Russian boxers, so he has a future at Sauerland.

The corner threw in the towel. Byrd was not knocked out. Not even by Wladdy.

Wlad the terrible would totally dominate Povetkin, bigger, stronger, hits harder, better jab, moves like ali compared to povetkin and is muuuuch harder to hit.. wlad eats him alive in 5-6 rounds
i dont like wlad but he always shows up in an almost perfect shape compared to this fatso

While watching the fight, I was thinking about how Povetkin would fare against Solis, too. I am far from sure that Solis would win, though.

Watch the Bates fight, it does not bode well for Solis. Povetkin throws short compact hooks, he would be, as Atlas would say, "inside the wide" all night long.

Fat **** heavyweights don't ever get in shape. The trend goes the other way.

We know hits: Tubbs, Bey, Witherspoon,Page, Peter, Tua, Pa'hua, Kirk Johnosn, Danny Williams, Corrie Sandres- add your own names here.

I don' like to disrepect professional fighrers, but fat ****s deserve it. If you are a fighter, then your day to day job is to stay in shape, and at least Klit, for all of his many faults, does that.

"If he could stay in shape..." Yeah, and it Klit had a chin, and if Vitklit would stay healhy, and if my grandmother had wheels she's be a wagon.

Bingo. Once you lack desire that is it.

The true talent out of that group, the one with the best pro game right now is Gamboa. He wasn't the best amateur of the lot, but he seems to be the best pro.

As RDJ was saying, and I'll break it down.

Solis power is so far based on Sidon, McGee and Bates. The Mazikin KO was a good one and I'll give him credit for it as the man was never stopped but the others have been multiple times.

He is slower than Povetkin and that is only made worse by his decreasing skills and increasingly wide shots. His footwork is worse than Povetkin's, definitely put down to weight. His stamina is a huge question mark. His defense has also become poor, as was evidenced in the Colliander fight where he took quite a few shots from someone how is more of a clown than a fighter. This can be put down to his weight as well.

After the Colliander fight, his corner was crying about his knees. Two observations:

    1. He's making excuses for sub par perfomances already.

    2. If your knees are bothering you, LOOSE WEIGHT FAT ****!

First of all Solis is in a better shape right now than he was a few weeks ago when he looked like a fat junk food lover. He has a new coach, and the work with him has obviously paid off.
However,my guess is that his stamina is still his weak spot.
As for his chances against Povetkin right now I wouldnt bet a single coin on the Cuban against Povetkin who needs more rounds, better opponents, and more experience at the pros.
Solis for sure has the talent and skills to make a lot of noise at heavy weight, and I very much hope that he can be one of the top guns making the water hot for guys like Povetkin, and Wlad.
Nevertheless to claim that Solis would easily outbox Povetkin is nonsense!
Easily? Solis was a great amateur, but Povetkin was one of the most dominating heavy weights of all times.Lots of present known pro heavy weights lived in his shadow at the amateurs.Peter,Brook,Estrada,Vidoz, and so on didnt dare to cross his shadows at the amateurs.
Solis is a very promising fighter, but still needs 10-15 fights to take on someone like Povetkin or Wlad.

The HW isn“t a amrican business anymore.

The big fights and the money are in Germany.

Comparing Solis and Povetkin at this stage of their respective careers is foolish IMO. Povetkin has just become a serious contender. He has already proven that he's able to dominate B-B+ level fighters, he can fight 10-11 rounds with ease which means we can assume he has the stamina to go full 12 rounds if needed. He has the skills and quickness to beat almost anyone in the division now.
Solis is just as talented as Povetkin is but he's just started the pro game. He's out of shape, needs to lose a lot of weight and has to prove that he has the determination, heart, chin and stamina of a real champion. He has the talent for sure, and I can only hope that he has all the other tools as well.

I hold Solis with high regard and hope he can climb the rankings as fast as Povetkin does. But I am just wondering why Solis turned into Super HW in amatuer only after Povetkin turned pro.:huh
