Whoever Wladimir ends up fighting, (I am personally pulling for Povetkin or Dimitrenko), it will be a letdown to many who purchased tickets to the event (especially British/Haye fans). To sweeten the deal for paying customers, Wladimir/K2 Promotions should host Valuev Vs. Chagaev as the Co-Main Event. They have both trained, its less than a month difference from planned, and the German Boxing Commission will probably allow the fight. Most importantly, the fight will occur prior to June 26th, which if I am correct, is the date imposed by the WBA for the match to occur. This would have the benefit of the WBA not being in the difficult position of stripping Chagaev and awarding the title to Valuev even though Chagaev defeated Valuev in the ring. Now I know I am being naive and utterly optimistic about this happening, but the WBA has a few more days to decide what it is going to do about the situation and I am sure K2 is scrambling to save the event. More likely is Chagaev being stripped and us being subjected to Valuev Vs. Ruiz III. I am pulling for WBA unification (Isn't it sad that a single belt needs to be unified these days) so that Vitali Klitschko can further unify with the winner.

Wlad should try to get Chagaev for June 20eth and put his hands on the rights to fight for the WBA crown.

WBA should order VAluev vs Ruiz and the winner should fight the winner of Wlad vs Chagaev.
