People are actually trying to justify what Groves has done?

What exactly has Kenny done to Groves? Was it Kenny who made 'racist' comments to Groves' girlfriend? Nope, did he threaten to kill Groves? No again.

Groves is acting like a spoiled brat, can't stand him.

 

I can see your argument but I refer to my previous posts, when things get personal then money doesn't come into it.

As for the people that say Groves is levels above? I agree to a certain extent but the way to beat him is draw him into a fight, make him lose his boxing brain and slug it out, To do that you need to rile him.

The rematch makes perfect sense.

I'd agree with this, if this was all of the story. However, with the death threats, this goes far beyond any other petty squabble you hear about every day.

If I was Groves, I'd be thinking a few things. 'Do I want to give a guy I hate a payday? I've already beaten him once, who cares if I do it again? If I win, will he want revenge away from the ring? Are my family at risk?' This is a serious issue for Groves if the death threats did come from Anderson's associates.

Personally, I'd stay away from him. **** knows what else has happened, regarding the police visits at 1am that Groves mentioned. Groves is being petulant, I admit that as a fan, but there is something far more sinister going on here.

I hear ya Jack, I do. But would you then hold the belt? then make comments in a interview saying ''i bashed him up'' and then mocking Anderson's facial feature's and hold his belt near the bin?. And to anyone claiming how Anderson won the title. He won it inside the ring the way the board asked him to.

As a friend of mine who posts on here said ''would you put Anderson's belt in the bin if your being threatened. I wouldn't..''.

 

Yeah, I know what you mean, mate. I get the sense that Groves is giving it the hard man over the internet because he knows that there'll be no repercussions over that. Maybe he's just trying to save face, I'm not sure.

Groves is definitely being petulant, so something has definitely bothered him. If I was him, I'd shut Anderson up by going on to bigger and better things. Don't give Anderson the time of day and, importantly, give no more ammunition for anyone who wants to hurt Groves or his family. He's not exactly helping the feud die by constantly sniping.

Dumping a belt in the trash isn't the right thing to do unless there are extreme circumstances. The only valid ditching of a title IMO was Honeyghan's ditching of the WBA belt when he had to fight in apartheid South Africa. He had to apologise to the WBA to fight for their title after that shockingly.

The Groves/Anderson spat looks to be six of one and half a dozen of the other- there is little reason for them to fight again unless Groves is desperately short of an opponent. They both need to move on.

Yeah agreed Jack, TBH this isn't the only time George has indulged in childish stuff. Him and DeGale both went at it, Anderson is a far more menacing characther. Although i'd be really keen to see if he's that bothered by Groves or is it his followers doing more harm.

Kenny seems to of been just happy to of won the British title in his interview on Saturday night. I think your right Groves is trying to act hard on there. Sport is very much a sport based on Machismo..
