Greeen had super fast hands but not a lot of power. The guy was completely nuts. Hes tried to make a 100 comebacks and still goes into the gym and makes a ruckus with everyone.
Don King was trying to bring him back in the mid 90's as an opponent for comebacking Tyson and Green couldnt keep it together. He went nuts in his comeback fight and they just stopped it. He wouldnt fight the guy.

 

i remember this i was a kid and I remember being so impressed with Greene I told my Dad. Man hes awesome he can beat Holmes ill bet:shock: i didnt know any better iwas like 10. My dad schooled me telling me that fight would be like akid fighting a Man, and i didnt believe it,but what did I know i thought the Globetrotters could beat the Lakers back then

i was dissapointed when Greene failed as a pro. One thing about Greene he was Crazy but he was a crackup:rofl:rofl:rofl

 

I think Green was the original Mr. T. He used to grunt and groan while he threw his punches.

 

Green's speed was no joke, but he never did develop the power.I'm surprised no one has posted his draw with Robert Evans.

Isn't there a rumor he was something special in sparring sessions, beat up Holmes or some ****?

 

I've heard about the Larry Holmes sparring session, also he reportedly gave some others problems.

He looks shitty. I don't think the world missed out on anything special.

 

Green brought trouble everywhere he went, when Spoon was supposed to rematch Tubbs for that WBA title in 86 and Tubbs pulled out they had to find a fast replacement for the massive sellout crowd at MSG.... They sought an in shape Bonecrusher Smith who was training for a fight with Green... Smith was slipped into the (succesful) title fight, but this left Green with no opponent and no cash.. I heard the trouble he caused in Don Kings office, he tore **** up and i did hear he threatened everyone and BIT.. a DKP security guard and drew blood.. Boy was nuts.........

Green would've beaten BoneCrusher had they fought.Maybe a James Broad, or a Leon Spinks, but not too many others due to his lack of development.

 

Im sure he is loaded on meds now.
