Some super 6 predictions that i know i'm onna get hammered for

These are all gut feelings based on what i have been watching. Although i would love to see Carl Froch win.........

I'm predicting that Abraham will not win a fight (bold one i know).
I think the Semi's will be Froch v Ward and Kessler v Taylor.

I don't quite know how i'll justify my final prediction...
Taylor to gain revenge and beat Froch in the final.

you know when you just have those gut feelings when your stood in a bookies with a betting slip in hand??? I honestly think that AA is well out of his depth. Strong??? yes. Small??? yes. untested??? yes and extremely ponderous in the ring.

Taylor is my tip. If his stamina has been corrected and he has grown into the weight more effeciently then there is nobody (in my opinion) in the tournament that an match his speed, skill set or natural athleticism and ability.

I await the onslaught.

 

I just find it hard to believe that he's improved his stamina since the Froch fight, and become mentally stronger aswell. Technically he's very, very sound. Pretty quick, and has under-rated power, but he's missing 2 crucial factors in that he can't go 12 rounds at a consistent pace & he doesn't have the focus, heart and composure to get though those final few rounds.

FOR THE LAST TIME.... can people stop saying Taylor is technically sound? He's not. Not at all actually. Do yall even know what technical skills are?

 

Why isn't he? He's got a very good jab, decent enough footwork and defense to stay out of trouble, and he can land solid power punches when he needs to. He can box aswell as anybody in the division.

 

I think everybody but kessle will be beaten in the group stages and then get shocked. i think by not going with the trend and picking Taylor overall proves that i think there will be at leat one big shock lol. really looking forward to this guys. Just something niggling me about Abraham. i really don't think he'll be up to it.

Your scenario is not that crazy. Jermain Taylor needed about a 5% improvement to beat Pavlik in their rematch. He needed 14 seconds to beat Froch quite convincingly. JT's last 9 fights came against current or recent world titlists, and that includes to wins over an ATG and a draw with a sure fire hall of fame inductee.

Arthur Abraham is the quintesential example of a paper titlist. He had that IBF title for nearly four years and posted 10 defenses. The number of world class opponents he faced stands at ZERO! In the face off with Jermain, AA looked like a welterweight.

Dirrells best win was Hanshaw. Second best was Oganov. Froch will stomp a mud hole in him and then stomp all the mud out of the hole! Dirrell is in over his head.

Ward's best win was a version of Miranda that got slaughtered by Pavlik and knocked out by AA. Ward is also in over his head.

Kessler is best known for his loss to Calzaghe. He hasn't faced any decent opposition since. I'm picking MK to win the whole thing, but the guy has some questions hanging around him, and I may not like the answers.

Froch has a decent win over Pascal, and a good win over what may have been a damaged version of JT. In addition, 14 seconds, and we would be looking at Froch and Taylor in a completely different light.

Arthur Abraham! You are the weakest link!

Andre Dirrell is a good athlete, but is open for any fast starters who are aggressive and once he tastes power of any sorts he runs like hell... Froch by later stoppage tween 8 and 12.. or a basic Unan win pts... Froch..

AA will beat Taylor.. Jermaine always lacks that pop in the big fights and this is no difference, late rounds win for the superiorly fit Abraham.. Taylor is getting no younger and his finer fights are long gone.........

The best fighters in the six are Kessler , Froch and Arthur... But you never know..

I think you are underestimating Abraham. I'll preface this post by saying I'm picking Abraham by late TKO.

Edison Miranda is no slouch, and he's one of the hardest punchers at SMW, IMO. Abraham went toe to toe with Miranda, broken jaw from the 4th round on, and still won decision. In the rematch, Abraham brutally knocked out Miranda early.

So I wouldn't go as far as saying he is untested. Add the facts that they are fighting in Germany and Taylor looks to be in the twilight of his career after several KO losses, I'm taking Abraham in this one.

 

I know that he was an Olympic medalist and an amateur champion, as well as a professional champion. So, for someone on a boxing board to say that he lacks technical skill, well, that and two bit will buy you a pack of gum.
