Abraham can box. He outboxed Miranda in the first fight for 4 rounds until he broke his jaw. This time he had a different game plan, he knew Miranda relies on his power and athleticism and is very strong early on, so he waited for Miranda to throw his best shots early and then took over. If Miranda had a solid chin, Abraham would have took over from round 4 and outbox him the rest of the way.

HAve you seen the Shannan Taylor fight? Abraham could have finished him at any point in the fight if he wanted to take the risk but he carefully outboxed him, winning every round. So as you can see he can adapt to his opponent so dont call him one dimentional.

i agree. people are crazy.

1- the first abraham miranda fight was a clear display of abraham being better. before miranda broke his jaw, abraham was in total control, and even with the broken jaw miranda was too one dimensional and especially too stupid to adjust his style to use this big disadvantage of abraham.

2- then abraham delivered a couple of solid wins with his passive style, only unloading bombs once in a while but slowly breaking his opponents down. people then called every one of abraham's opponents a bum and abraham himself one for not finishing them earlier and in more spectacular fashion, even though you could clearly see that abraham was just being really cautious and toying a bit.

3- after pavlik beat miranda, miranda's stock incredibly decreased. i wasn't so sure how this outcome would be, because i was in doubt of pavlik's chin and pavlik's discipline to just brutalize miranda without risking too much. but pavlik did exactly what he had to do and ripped miranda away.

4- also miranda knocked out a couple of nobodies, which were overhyped ko artists themselves where it was clear from the beginning, that except for awesomeness and spectacular ko's you will not see anything that you could call a great achievement or boxing on a truly high level that makes you able to call out the likes of abraham or pavlik or - more important - other fighters with more than slugger abilities, and i don't mean on taylor's level, who could maybe also ko miranda.

5- and now, after abraham beats miranda - in a really impressive way, but nothing totally out of context -, it's "WOW, ABRAHAM GOT MORE POWER THAN PAVLIK??", "ABRAHAM VS PAVLIK NOW, GOGOGO", and ****. come on now, abraham didn't just step out of oblivion. he always had this power. he has other weaknesses which could cause him trouble against pavlik, but his punching ability was never worth discussing, it was always there. it's nice now, that the community wants to see that fight and regards abraham of worthy to fight pavlik. but he already was before this fight, and what this fight did in fact, was making abraham a direct threat, which has already passed the ocean now.

 

miranda gets treated like a joke because he is a disrespectful jackass who can't back up his endless trash talk.

Most folks here did not see Abrahamn in is stalking, walk the man down mode jsut his shell vs, extreamly hard punchers. He did not shell vs Edison.
In fact Shell and counter punching is new to him over the last year.

I've watched Abrahma from @ fight 12, when he couldn't box at all, just punch. Over the last two years he has learned to box and to ration his power. He is one who is dangerouse in the 12 too.
He does very well for a middlewight midget. 5 foot 9 with 71 inch reach.
