I can see why crazyboy posted this...Its def debatable...but i think it was that Lazcano is not a world beater and he has not fought in 15 mths. It was good match making. But i was mad when the ref stopped the fight for the damn shoe lace. Although Juan fought a pretty good fight, it was obvious Ricky won.

Hold on, you overly-sensitive twat, I wasn't suggesting that the entire British public is one big monolith, I'm sure there's a divided concensus of opinion, it's just that the side you shouldn't be so proud of, meaning ****-poor refereeing, as in protecting Ricky from his opponent's punches to TIE HIS DAMNED SHOE LACE, is the one on display today. Just like in this country, where you have the right to criticise incompetence, like the robbery in the first Lewis-Holyfield fight, it's fair game to let you have it for such obvious hometown biased refereeing. Don't be so sensitive to criticism, you *******, and as for the Muzzies, get your head out of your ass, I'm not saying you LOVE them, it's that they're going to take over your country, then you'll have to love them.

Well, ferd cloupes, if a "blert" is a good thing, then thank you, but if it's bad... then you're another one.

Do you think good ol' hometown officiating was in effect tonight?
I cant remember the las time a foreign fighter came to GB and got robbed, although Lennox Lewis getting robbed in New York doesnt seem that long ago.

yeah totally. look at the hundreds of posts i've made following tonights fight praising the refereeing. i couldn't get enough of it.

actually, i haven't seen a single post from a brit tonight praising or bigging up the ref, where are you getting this from?

but hey, if making things up strengthens your POV then all the more power to you.

oh and we can't get that sharia law through quick enough. we'll be sending plane loads of the mother****ers over before you know it.

How well do you think Cortez did in Hattons last fight?
Seems to me US is just as susceptible to poor refereeing as anywhere

It's funny when people "correct" grammar or spelling on a forum, and make glaring mistakes in the process.

I thought the timing was poor, but I can hardly call that a fix.

No, the scoring was fair, as Laczano didn't do enough to come close to winning, but the refereeing was the pits in stopping it when Laczano was right in the middle of his best moments to tie Ricky's friggin' shoe.

Yeah, yeah, every time the guy some people want to win loses, the fight is fixed. Couldn't it just be what we all knew BEFORE the fight - that they're two different classes of fighter.

As I said in a previous post, the U.S. officials screwed Lewis out of the title in that first fight with Holyfield. Referees screw up over here too, but today, it happened right in the midst of action, when Laczano was having it his way. No excuse for that.

Deporting them? I sure hope so. By the way, I stick up for Joe Calzaghe all the time against fellow Americans who won't give him his due, but he's never in need of protective refereeing. The early stoppage against Manfredo is brought up alot, and that was no big deal, as the ref did the right thing in saving Manfredo from the 70 kazillion punches Calzaghe was going to hit him with, thus probably saving him from brain damage. This thing that happened today totally screwed Laczano.

There was no fix. Laczano hadn't fought in 15 months and didn't have any zip. He didn't do enough to win.

To answer your question, Cortez did a lousy job, IMO.
