Haye said before the fight that Sonnen would have to be weight drained, get his shorts pulled, unluckily fall off balance, get hit illegally, have the ref jump in prematurely and Sonnen be in a fix for Silva to have a chance to win.

Just shows how uncomfortable Sonnen is on his feet especially after he'd been hurt and tired.
Watch Silvas other fights he always does that how is that some new move.
Rob shooting hot loads of reality over these clowns.

Sonnen being so gracious after the fight had me worried........ It's like he happily accepted defeat :think

As i said straight after the fight, Silva landed nothing significant on Sonnen.

Sonnen was either really gassed and an extremely fragile glass heart or he through the fight. The bloke has good acting skills and is a convicted fraud criminal so who knows.

Thought the ref stopped it a bit early given it was a title fight

He was gracious and respectful after the first fight, as well, until he started to promote the rematch.

    Meh. Who knows.

    Who can know?

What would that change, anyway? I would have been amused by a Chael win, but I was of the opinion he was fighting a very uphill battle going in. Whether it was a fix or not, can you -seriously- argue that Chael would have pulled it off? I just don't think so.

I don't think Anderson was anticipating a spinning backfist but was just ducking what ever Chael had telegraghed, then he looked up and Chael was sitting on his ass.....and wether the knee hit Sonnen's head or his chest it would have been the difference anyhow. But I didn't think Chael would go out the way he did.

was no fix. Why would there have been a fix? And if there was why was Sonnen fighting so hard up until the stoppage?

First of all the spinning backfist thing was a slip, I think he tripped on andersons foot.

He didn't try to get up because Anderson was just 2 feet away from him.. if he would have tried to get up he would have gotten nailed, that's why he stayed on the ground.

Anderson delivered a huge knee to his chest, and I think that's bascially what finished sonnen in the fight.

After he got back up, Anderson swarmed him and I think it was a combination of the knee and feeling overwhelmed that brought Sonnen back down again , and the fight gets stopped after that.

It looked fixed. I just can't see anything meaningful finishing the fight. Sonnen did great the first round. I wasn't pulling for him to win at all, nor for Silva. Strictly neutral.
