Liston would walk into the ring like he was walking onto a yacht. His scars would be like apricots. And he would display them proudly, one eye looking at Frazier, and one looking at his own reflection in the glasses of the ringside doctor. But Frazier would put clouds in Sonny's coffee and Sonny would be disturbed by the guy who doesn't care about anything but fighting. He doesn't get intimidated. He doesn't buy into scamboogism of any sort, even Liston's brand of intimidation scamboogism. It's in the same vein as Tyson/Frazier in that of course Frazier is up against both the real danger and the artifice of danger and his style will be affected by neither, to his risk, to his credit, and, oddly enough, also to his advantage. But in both cases he has the opportunity to discourage and frustrate his opponent with pressure, speed, power, and the ability to slip the jab. But, unlike with Tyson, he's going to be significantly faster and force a range where the reach advantage has a reverse effect on the fighters and it's going to completely unhinge Liston, in my opinion. Liston will curse his own elbows. Underworld spies couldn't save Liston from this one where the conventional view is turned on its head and the dispensers of said wisdom are shown to be either deliberate or non-deliberate scamboogahs. It's not just scamboogism but scamboogery.
