A non-educated and mis-informed opinion from someone who'd assume Liston wouldn't be much chops inside due to his unnaturally long reach but to lazy/uneducated to watch the fights to confirm for oneself.

Liston was an excellent infighter, which Ali himself attested to. He shows excellent inside work against Patterson where he absolutely belts him with hellascious uppercuts.
