Billy Douglas was the World Junior Light Heavyweight Champion... But wait, he was probably better than Buster! ;)

    Will a European championship do?

Former 3-time European title-holder Juan Carlo Duran never won a world title... but his son Massimiliano Duran was a world (WBC) cruiserweight champion.

I'm quite sure Mayweather Sr. never won a world title, but he was a top contender for many years.

Another who never won a title, and therefore irrellevant........ , is Lenny Mancini and son Ray.

Another father - sons a little off the mark is the fighting Hiltons. Dad David was a canadian champion while sons Matthew and Dave became world champs.

And as mentioned Billy Douglas won a world title, and although a solid pro, Buster was better than him.

Am I correct in saying the only WORLD champion father son duo where the son is better is Corey and Leon? So far none of the others was a world champion.
