Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy, Reid, Bika, Eubank, Mitchell, etc.

Is it an INCREDIBLE resume? No...is it a DAMN GOOD ONE? HELL YES!

The myth that his resume is weak is just that...a myth. Remember, just because youve never heard of a fighter, doesnt make them a bum.

Last time I checked ... Lacy only lost 1 fight and has 6 championship fights on his resume and is 5-1 in championship fights.

I don't get why he's not getting much credit ... he had a tough fight against a guy who's campaigned as high as cruiserweight and out of 28 wins he has 24 KO's.

Look, I agree that Calzaghe's qualiy has nothing to do with Lacy. Lacy is currently around no. 10 in the world and he was the same in 2005. The guys he met were not that good and the couple that were at some point ok wee shot when he met them. Pemberton got KOed in the next fight by Manfredo etc. etc. it is obvious that he had a very bloated resume. However, Lacy is not a bad fighter and I think he is the sort of contender that at some point or another could legitimately hold a belt - wich he did.

The Hopkins fight wasn't really proff of anything much eithe because it almost wasn't a fight as much as it was a holding and surviving thing with one person trying but not really succeeeding and the other one not trying and being more successful a not trying. The endresult was that it was a strange no-event where the one that tried was the winner just for trying (which is the only way it could go).

However, the reason why people should not and probably will not take you seriously, is because Kessler up until Calzaghe was the most dominant champion in boxing. He had never lost a single round on all cards and was unified. Compae that to Lacy who had struggled with mediocre fightes like wiggins, a done sheika etc. In other words - no, Lacy is in no way proff that Calzaghe is good. Kessler is and this will become incresingly clear over the next years to the few that cannot tell fo themselves yet.

Look you gotta give calzaghe credit for being undefeated

but he never went threw any true beasts...

so on one hand you gotta give him some credit
    but on the other hand.
giving him too much credit is wack....

to me thats where this whole argument stops

lol well i hope your 100 years old and have heard of all the great boxers through the years because I'm pretty sure 90% of posters here could name fighters you've never heard of and that are probably 1000% better than the fighters you dream of.

Of course he wasn't scared to fight Miranda. His team even lobbied with the WBA to get Miranda ranked as official challenger so they could fight for the belt. Miranda couldn't wait for that and went with Abraham. Out of the top three at SMW KEssle is one and fought the other two both in THEIR HOME SOIL.... Who else has done that? So don't think Kessler is scared of Miranda.

Kessler has (apart from the Calzaghe fight) never ever lost a single round on all three judges cards.
