Even if the on standby story is true. I can't see takam being fully motivated in training on the off chance he got the call.

It's easy to stick the boot in but we should at least be happy that the IBF mando is being dealt with.

When was the IBF mandatory ever going to be the fight we wanted to see? It's still one step closer to unifying the belts (trying not to disrespect Takam too much here).

Why would he not be motivated? It’s the biggest pay day in his life and he’s got an opportunity to achieve what he’s always wanted and become a world champion.

Put me in there and I’d be motivated with no camp!

Dunno if Takam is able to negotiate any deal as he is the mando? Are mando fights not set to a specific split of the purse? if he rejected it then the IBF woulda just again went to the next in line surely?

Eddie hearn has said that they had takam as a contingency and had agreed that even if the pulev fight had taken place he would fight on the monaco card next month so I do think he will be prepared. I think these fights are always risky you only have to look through history books to see fighters upsetting the odds at heavyweight... Buster Douglas was 42-1 to beat Tyson, rahman beat lewis who would have expected that and when holyfield beat Tyson he had lost 2 of his last 4 fights. You never know in heavyweight boxing.

To be fair I get where your coming from as soon as he got the call yeah of course he's going to be motivated. Motivated was probably wrong word to use. I meant he would of just been going through the motions in the gym prior to the call. And making easy money to be on call. I don't see how any1 could train as hard and put there body through hell in training camp on off chance they got a call. If he was the original opponent I've no doubt he'd be in better condition than what he is now.

Joshua would get a PPV outta boxing his shadow. Every single fight he has will PPV from now on til he either retires or has a couple of losses.

You have a different interpretation of what a PPV event is meant to be than I do.

He’s the biggest name in the sport. People pay to watch him. If there was no undercard people would pay to watch him.

Just like Fury Parker the other week (god knows how many buys it done) but just the main event was PPV.

He’s an Olympic gold medalist, he holds multiple world titles, he’s won pretty much all his fights in spectacular fashion. People all around the world want to watch him.

Your either the mother of all cheap charlies or your watching a stream, either way the point is for the normal fans who do buy PPV events on a regular basis who want to see a real contest of two quality fighters, though I can see that doesn't bother you with your "I am all right jack mentality sod the rest of you"
