Sparring in Session(18 oz gloves)

    The song is 'Throw it up' by Lil jon ft. Pastor Troy,the last bit got cut short :-\. Also i have a fight comming up on the 10th.. so i will post more videos soon

    Hey Trey,

    Firstly nice head and upper body movement!

    Regarding angling your body and not squaring up, i would strongly recommend it.
    When you square up it makes you a sitting target. If you get hit hard square you don't have a leg behind to help take the weight of the punch and balance yourself, you could just fall over backwards.

    When you angle your body, you give yourself a leading foot. In your case, as an orthodox fighter that would be your left. Just use your left foot to follow and track your opponent's movement, with your right leg following providing balance, and you should cut the ring off much easier.

    Thanks alot . I got back from the gym feeling good about my workout, i concentrated on keeping my body at an angle more and my right hand/overhand seemed to come easier with more power. As far as getting hit while sqaured up would explain why sometimes even a weak shot can make you lose your balance/stumble backwards
