I 2nd That! Timing kills speed... and Hatton is only good at timing his face into the opponents punches:bbb

I root for Manny every time he fights, but I don't think this fight is as easy as you think.

Manny is a hard puncher, and he's got quick hands, but he's not a very physically strong guy. Most of his opponents have outmuscled him in the clinches and holds. He's not a bull strong guy. He just gets back at them with his fists.

I've seen this from his 112 lbs days, up to today.

If Ricky manages to turn the fight into a hit and clinch match, he can weaken Manny and break him down.

And Ricky does know how to cut the ring off. On many of his hardest hits and KDs, his opponents were on the ropes, with little space to breathe.

But I still think Manny will win. Roach is planning for the best gameplan for this fight.

Hatton does cut off the ring very well... I'm not a big fan of Hatton but one thing i do notice with him is his footwork and ability to cut his oponent off. For moving in straight lines watch Wlad Klitschko and you'll see the difference.

Also i disagree about the jab. Hatton threw more jabs than anything else against Paulie and he was slipping Paulies with head movement and countering with his own which is what he will need to do against Manny

Speed kills alright, but not when you let the tyres down. Hatton has the best body attack in boxing and he will use this to take the wind out of the Pinoys sails, Pacman has never experienced power from a live opponent north of 130. Hatton by shockingly early TKO.

    http://www.worldofcombat.net/ricky-hatto-vs-paul-malignaggi-boxing-video.html

watch the 1st round it tells the story of the rest of the fight

Paulie goes to his left, he follows him to his left, Paulie backs straight up, he follows him, Paulie goes to his right, he follows him to his right, thats not cutting off the ring....

and Hatton did not throw more jabs then anything else, he mainly threw powerpunches to the body

    heres his punchstats...

    Total Punches Landed:
    Hatton landed: 124 -- Malignaggi landed: 91

    Punches Thrown:
    Hatton threw: 516 -- Malignaggi threw: 342

    Percentage
    Hatton lands 24% -- Malignaggi lands 27%

    Power Punches
    Hatton landed: 99 -- Malignaggi lands 25

    Power Punches Thrown:
    Hatton threw 377 -- Mallignaggi threw 133

    Percentage
    Hatton lands 26% -- Malignaggi lands 19%.

thats 377 powerpunches out of 516, meaning he only threw a 139 jabs which is about 12 jabs per round.......which is not good at all, especially considering, he only lands at 24% percent accuracy, his jab is weak

and i agree, Hatton has good footwork he was on his toes on the outside, he's no plodder...but just because you have good footwork, doesn't mean you cut off the ring, those are 2 different things

when did you see me point out that Pac was gonna walk Ricky down, or that Pac was physically stronger?.......if you read what i said, none of that was in there

also, heres something else you might wanna look at and consider

JMM through 201 jabs in his 2nd fight with Manny and was only able to land 42 of those, and Marquez not only has a brilliant jab, but brilliant timing as well.......

that just shows how hard it is to land a jab on Manny, btwn. his southpaw stance, his illusive rhythm, and his own speedy jab, it's extremely hard to land your jab on him, and if you can't land your jab, you can't control the pace, and if you can't control the pace against Manny, you can't win the fight outside of a punchers chance

but on another note.. to Marquez's own brilliance, he still managed to land 42% of overall punches on Pac (yet he still loss)

now if Hatton couldn't land even 30% of his shots on a less versatile, less mobile, more othordox, 1handed fighter with no power, in Malinaggi

what do you think his accuracy's gonna be like against someone like Pac?

Mayweather SR. has his work cut out for him if he wants to make this a goodfight

Manny is not an elusive fighter. Hatton at some point in the first few rounds will nail him. We will know a lot more at that point how this fight is going to go. If Hussein can hurt Manny badly with a left hook to the chin so can Hatton and then some. If Manny gets stopped by flyweights body shots, then Hatton can hurt him. If Barrera can floor Pac so can Hatton.

Is there any truth that for his ring walk Manny is going to walk on water ?

Manny is elusive, his in-and-out, side to side rhythm makes him very hard to catch......and Manny is clearly not the same fighter he was when he fought Huessein, nor when he fought Barrera, and ****...how many years did you go back to even get that one?...what was that, 7,8, 9 years ago?

and as far as Ring entrances go, i dont know....dont really care about stuff like that, though it may seem otherwise, not really that big of a Pac fan to care bout stuff like his ring entrances

but that **** would funny...wtf? walk on water?

if paulie wasn't hanging onto hattons legs from the 2nd round onwards, those punch stats would have been very different.

everyone keeps talking as though hatton is slow, people are gonna be surprised by the hitmans speed, this combined with floyd sr's gameplan and his punching power will be too much for manny. hatton is gonna take him to school.
    mid to late KO.
