Why don't you save yourself all the typing and save a set answer to all threads which roughly equates to.... "No fights should be PPV, the fighters are not high profile enough, their records are padded, it's poor promotion. Unless of course its promoted by matchroom which means the fighters are superstars and the shows are the bestest ever, cuz Frank Smiff says, innit" How could anyone argue with that, after all this is the promotion that almost managed to pull off 42year old Nina Hughes (4-0) vs Shannon Courtenay (8-2). The stuff of legends right their! Spence vs Crawford is 2 of best modern era fighters coming head to head, this is the type of fight in todays climate of avoidance that is much needed and we as fans have been starved of. It has the potential to be a classic. Can't you just enjoy it?........perhaps watching Bosh Fisher read out a Chinese menu on a ppv 'stacked' undercard is more your thing
I think 4am is the biggest issue. Those who are dedicated enough to stay up I wouldn't of thought would mind paying. But 4am in general is just a tough time, with the exception of shift workers and a few people on the sofa returning from a night out its a horrible time to be up for. I have a frustrating habit of setting the alarm, getting up to watch then falling back asleep on sofa and missing the fight anyway! U.S shows, apart from the megastar ones will only have a handful of UK fans watching
Why are you so emotional for ? Have a sip of water before replying to my posts so your blood pressure doesn’t get too high okay. I never said Spence Crawford was a bad fight. My point is that it’s at 4am on Sunday morning so a lot of UK fans will just catch up on it in the morning. I am personally more interested in Inoue Fulton. Spence Crawford should have taken place 3/4 years ago and for me the fight isn’t what it once was.
Sounds strange but I’ve always found watching boxing in the early hours weirdly therapeutic. The outside world is asleep and I’m sat in the dark in my living room watching a fight from America at 4am. Plenty of times I’ve found myself sat on the floor or up in front of the tele before realising I’m even doing it. And then when you do get a great fight in the early hours the adrenaline is pumping and you’ve got no chance of getting back to sleep. Yep - sounds very strange.
Joshua is clearly past his best days and has looked gun-shy since the Ruiz defeat. Whyte’s punch resistance is low but he still has his power. Joshua hasn’t faced a big puncher like Whyte since December 2019 against Ruiz. After being taken 12 rounds by Franklin I’m intrigued to see how Joshua looks and deals with Whyte. Especially since Joshua Wilder happening afterwards is essentially confirmed. A lot of people seem to be interested like me since the O2 sold out in a couple of hours for Joshua Whyte II. I have no interest in paying £20 odd for a fight at 4am in the morning. It looks even worse since Davis Garcia wasn’t PPV. Anyway it’s great that a broadcaster has picked it up and if people want to pay they are within their rights to do so. Not sure why people are so mad here for me stating that a lot of people won’t pay to watch something so early on in the morning.
Right so you’re looking forward to Joshua v Whyte - because, in your words, they’re clearly past their best days and have lost their punch resistance - but not Spence v Crawford who are still world class operators? You’ve lost me with your logic there mate. You say you’re interested in Joshua v Whyte but said today you aren’t a DAZN subscriber. Hope this doesn’t mean you’re illegally steaming!
I get what you mean, the few times I have been fully awake and switched on at that time it's felt extra rewarding if it's been a great fight
It’s how you make out you categorically know what every boxing fan does or wants. ‘More people were bothered about Tank v Garcia’ you don’t know that. You just make these statements to suit your DAZN obsession - which is even more strange after you admitted you don’t even subscribe yesterday, so why you’re so invested in it is anyone’s guess.
Absolutely buzzing for this fight. Will be the first US fight I've stayed up and bought PPV for in years and think 20 quid is pretty good value in the current climate.
