I am not a fan of careless and needless weight jumping. Spence has a chance to really build a legacy at welter, but.... If he decides to go after Canelo, then so be it.... I think its an awesome fight and one in which I would be at the edge of my seat for. Theres no way I can no make Canelo the rightful favorite in this matchup.... but, I think Spence is a live, live, live underdog. I would pay ppv to see this matchup and it will be interesting to see how serious these talks may get after Canelo vs G, or if this is all just hollow hype.
Golovkin or Alvarez would kill Spence! Hell, Spence should fight Porter, then Thurman, I don't think he can beat either.............
Its been covered before this has. The break of one orbital weakens the other side, and its pretty naïve to see it any other way. Its obvious its connected
Is there a link or proof of any source. Surely if Spence did say this he is just speculating about much further down the line. He is still concentrating on Welterweight, although he is a big one. Him and Canelo are in 2 different worlds at the moment. Anyway, Canelo would crush him. And i say that as a Spence Jr fan.
This is how I see it too. Canelo is obviously the favourite but Spence really would have a chance. Spence is a good size 154 lb (even though he's fought at WW) and Canelo is a good size 160 so they're only one division apart. If Spence can take Canelo's shots there's no reason he can't win a decision.
Wouldnt Spence have to run along to Golden Boy and HBO for that fight ??? You know the same people he rejected a couple of months ago.
I'll believe when I see it. If he's being genuine then looks like he's already trying to cash out lol. Canelo's movement, defence and counter punching would be too much for him, no way Spence wins.
and probably making the weight added to brooks problems because before he gassed he was outboxing spence
Negative! I read up on this shortly after Spence destroyed Brook and nowhere did I read fracturing one orbital compromises the other. If you can provide more literature that supports your argument, I would change my mind but, until that happens, I will give Spence full credit for his win over Brook.
Id like to see how Canelo's horrible stamina holds up to Errol's brutal body attack and high work-rate. He'd get lit up and picked off if he took the fight now , but he would definitely cause him problems in a few years after he fills out into a JMW.
after the way brook was winning vs him before the eye...? and he thinks hes ready for 160 and canelo?? LMAO... if hes smart he will stay at 147.. he actually has a chance at 147 of winning all 4 belts... at 160 he would get picked apart by canelo.
Maybe he's hinting he wants a deal. He's not going to become a super star without a promotional machine backing him up.
