Old Bernard wouldn't stand a chance of going 15 rounds. 12 rounds he might manage, but only barely.

Roy Jones beat him convincingly at middleweight.

One of Hopkins' great strengths is his boxing IQ,but in Michael Spinks,he'd be fighting a fellow that is a very intelligent fighter himself. It could be argued that Spinks never fought anyone as defensively adept as Bernard, but Hopkins never fought a lightheavy with the all around game or with the awkwardness of Mike.At 175,Bernard would try to turn it into a foul fest because he has no physical advantages over Michael(including chin, another Hopkins strength),but MS was very adapt at utilizing his elbows himself.I see a very lopsided decision in favor of Spinks.
