Nah Tyson was a freak of nature. He developed physically much quicker than was normal. By 13 years old he was already a beast of a guy. The Tyson from 85-88 would have destroyen anyone at HW. You could argue he was the best ever albeit for a short time.

Have too go with Holyfield. Sure when they did fight Tyson wasn't prime but neither was Holyfield who was cherry picked instead of facing Lewis.

Holyfield was quick himself, one of the few guys Tyson faced who had comparable hand speed. Holyfield's chin is unquestionably granite he took Tyson's and Foreman's power and kept on ticking and even if prime Tyson could hurt him with a combination, does anyone doubt Holyfield couldn't dig deep and recover and come back fighting.

Holyfield was smarter in the ring too, he knew what he had to do to beat Tyson when they did fight don't see why he wouldn't use similar tactics if we're talking a prime for prime confrontation, which means hypothetically the best possible versions of each.

Holyfield has the mental edge too, he's simply better in crucial clutch moments, he's shown a greater ability to overcome adversity than Tyson and can simply dig in and not fall apart even when losing fights, where Tyson can unravel.

No, holyfield had mikes number like forest had mosleys. He studied tyson since amatuer days and knew he was mentally weak. He was in mikes head since he bullied him around at the olympic house and in sparring.
