He wants to monopolize boxing pretty much, but in affect make the best fighters face each other. He also liked Dana White's ambition to put boxing on back on Fox and mainstream TV. GBP has followed suit with their fights on FoxSports1 and Leo Santa Cruz fighting on CBS

as to this latest split, idk what that's all about.

If he manages to split up Schaefer and Oscar (bosoms for a decade now) after having split up Floyd and Fifty he is officially the biggest Machiavellian home-wrecking douche of all time. That is easily the GOAT resume of sabotaging high-profile friendships.

What network would they go to? Starz?

GBP has Showtime on lock and HBO hates their ass.

Not if Haymon wanted to continue operation they way he always has HBO won't tolerate that b.s. his guys will have to face the best no matter who they're with.

If they did split who would Haymon walk away with anyone got a list of his top guys not with GB?

How come all the other guys on HBO now don't have to follow the same standard? It's funny how Haymon gets scape goated for mismatches on HBO. However, there were mismatches on that network before he got there and after he left. Many of his guys now are consistently in good matchups.

    Haha

What's this business now of a split between FMJ and 50 cent? I swear, I feel like I spent a year in a cave.

With all the names in his stable, they would have no choice if they wanted to compete with Showtime. (who are supposed to be the beta in that rivalry...)

Also, much as they have their differences they (HBO & Top Rank) would jump at the chance to "stick it" to Showtime & Golden Boy allying with their former power-broker.

Corporate execs are that petty. :yep

It was more than a year ago, I think.

Supposedly they are back on decent terms, but they are no longer on "sharing ravioli", BFF status and never will be again. Haymon drove in a pretty deep wedge.

Tho it would suck for Oscar and feel he getting backstabbed,it might be great for the boxing world as that way Schaefer/Haymon fighters may be able to fight Top Rank fighters, tho most likely Haymon fighters won't be able to fight Gbp fighters then! Lol pretty ridiculous man if this is true.

a split would be interesting but I can assure you HBO isn't going to take Haymon back with open arms. He was the reason they kicked Golden Boy to the curb with his business tactics. They would welcome Golden Boy back before Haymon.

oscar holds the majority of the shares, he hired schaefer back in 2000 and then they became partners and not equal partners at that, hopkins only a very small stake.
