After tonight's performance he should avoid rungvisai like he's slenderman. At least rematch barrios first.

Alright guys ive finally found the time to watch it and i might have to retract some of my earlier statements. I got it 8-4 ancajas same as gerry penalosa's scores. I gave santiago 3,5,9 and 11. I think people are giving too much credit to those brief bursts of santiago while ignoring that ancajas is dictating the pace. Every round ancajas is fighting at the distance landing consistent jabs and straights to the body. Yes santiago has success coming in but those are very brief, he wasn't able to do it CONSISTENTLY. Even some of the success of santiago fighting in close quarters are sometimes matched by ancajas.

Honestly jerwin could win the fight by making it boring. Best example was rd 6 where he only fought on the outside and countering santiago at will.

So as conclusion it was a close fight but not on the cards at least for me. Those mexico chants might have influenced the judging and that's why i hate when judges lets the cheers influence their scoring. Where's the neutrality? Regarding ancajas vs rungvisai still too early i prefer ancajas rematch santiago first at the least or unify with yafai at best. The best comparison i can make to this fight is usyk vs gassiev with the only difference being workrate of ancajas is a little below that of usyk.

This fight presents a different matchup - Styles wise. Not straightforward brute strength win for Sor Rungvisai.
Rungvisai is strong but flat footed and has sub-parr ring generalship. He beat Chocolatito bec Chocolatito chose to stand there toe-to-toe and he is a lot smaller. Wrong fight plan.

If Jerwin moves and stick the jab with the correct workrate he can make SSR looked slow and frustrated.
UD for Jerwin if he fight the same way Luisito Espinosa fought a very strong Galaxy.

Estrada had a better plan than gonzalez of fighting on the backfoot but even then i think its a case of not doing it enough again. Estrada at times would exhange with rungvisai and sometimes he's on the shorr end of it. Still estrada proved that fighting on the outside more is one of the keys to win against rungvisai.

Give a watch to how Srisaket cut the ring off vs Sato to see that the Thai can cut the ring down against a solid mover

Who is Sato, the fight in 2013? That was 5 yeas ago when Srisaket was younger and against an unknown C class fighter.
Jerwin is a champ with 6 defenses on his belt. Jerwin is also younger than Srisaket - That is a different level of fight. This is much closer fight than most people are predicting.

    um, wut?

    "Unknown C-class fighter"?

Yota Sato was a world champ at super fly, a damn good fighter, and honestly more proven than Ancajas. So wtf are you even talking about?

Better style match up for Ancjas here. He wont have to go looking for Rungvisai. But then again the THAI packs a punch.Jerwin predictable AF sometimes with his one-two and when he misses he doesn't know what to do.However Rungvisai is not hard to find.. He should be landing bombs on Rungvisai easier.

    Ancajas by TKO.
