I can follow that reasoning of whatever works for you.

But the way that guy is talking in the video is like SRR found some Jedi Knight secret to how to punch hard and that that's what we should all try to emulate. Which I don't agree with. When I watch SRR fight there is a lot to admire but I can see flaws as well. I think in H2H matchups there have been/are plenty of fighters who could/can beat him.

Did any of these guys fight Sugar Ray Robinson 6 times? Were any of them ranked top 10 for 7 years straight prior to winning the title?

It's an indication of a good chin to not go down. It's also an indication of a great chin to go toe to toe with Sugar Ray Robinson for 5 fights and not get stopped until the 6th one when you're dehydrated from cutting weight and fighting a grueling fight.

Lamotta is recognized for having one of the best chins in boxing history for a reason. You aren't going to downplay that in 2017 on boxingforum24

Foreman got free shots on Ali laying against the ropes for 8 rounds.

Foreman was actually let to tee off on a foe and he still couldn't knock him out. The ref had to stop the fight. So the exact thing you said never would happen, did in fact happen

SRR had Canelo power, not Golovkin power.

I think especially in 2017 you can question how the old timers match up to the 60 - 70 years of fighters and great champions that came after them. Now there are more fighters they can be compared to then back then.

Fair enough .. SRR has so many punches like this in his resume .. and this definitely wasn't a one time thing.. And you are right because EVERY boxer has flaws and every technique or style can be countered.. Styles make for great fights and every top ATG loses.. Example ..A matchup nightmare for Floyd would be Hearns, and a matchup nightmare for Cotto was Mayweather .. just 2 I thought of and a theres a million more. Thanks for the discussion man

You can question it all you want, doesn't make you right. I'll go with the testimony of the guys who fought him over some guy posting on a crappy forum.

Why could Foreman put Chuvalo away when he was just sitting there taking punches? Is his power overrated 2?

I don't think that if you constantly fight at elite level and score 100+ KO's, someone can call your power 'overrated'.

Why don't you enlighten the forum as to just who would beat him from 147-160. You said "plenty" so i'm thinking nothing under 8 or 10.
