What's funny is, the haters wanted Pac to go down to 140 to fight JMM because they admit that he's a small WW and can easily make 140, yet they turn around and question why cant Pac move up to 154 to fight Martinez! :-(

Pac making Morales go back down to 130 is not fair yet forcing Pac to go up to 135 after just one fight at 130(with no tuneups), in which he lost, is somewhat fair.

What has Pacquiao done @ 147 other than beat up on weight drained fighters, ole' fighters and no-hopers?

I have to agree with the logic. I don't like catch-weights for championship fights, Pacquiao himself said that Cotto was moody because he was having trouble with the weight in an interview, and Cotto moving up to 154 suggests he may have grown to struggle with the division...but up until that point, Pacquiao was still considered a real small welterweight who just got lucky with a drained De La Hoya and probably couldn't take the left hook or body attack of a Miguel Cotto for 12 rounds. It's also the reason they blatantly ducked Shane Mosley. In hindsight, Pac fighting bigger men seems like a tired old story, but it was still a new and dangerous concept at the time, and what made the Cotto fight hype so intriguing.

Would the 2 Lbs have made any difffrance in the result? Probbly not. Cotto would have fadeded even at 147. Would it have been closer? Maybe. Would it have gon the distance? Maybe.
Was it honest of Pacquiao to claim a championship at the catchweight? No it was not.

-Don't matter what weight Cotto would have came in at, he doesn't have defense to stop Pac's arsenal, and can't beat Pac to the punch. All the weight stuff would only matter if he had the defensive capabilities to nullify Pac's offense first and then work him over on the inside wearing him out.

-When your rated P4P#1, awarded fighter of the decade, and considered top 2 as best fighter of this generation. Expectation rise, people will attack any asterisk, it goes with the territory.

-Think about this stuff when people diminish Mayweather's win over Hoya or Hatton.

Is there four better fighters at 147 than Oscar, Mosley, Clottey and Cotto that he could have fought?

Oscar was a dead man @ the weight, Cotto was a recent Margarito KO victim, Clottey was coming off of a LOSS, and Pacquiao shamelessly DUCKED Mosley - only to go ahead and fight him AFTER he got shut out by Floyd.

    You *******s really need to S T O P....

I agree the Mosley was a duck, but name other fighters that were better than Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and ODLH at that time? You've mentioned one already and I will help you out with another, Paul Williams. But to Pac's defense, Mayweather did the same thing, not fight Paul Williams.
