i predict a smith win , smiths very comfatable in the ring for a new pro, simpsons a good fighter, but i feel that his style suits smith, simpson likes to be sure his shots will connect before he sends them, and smiths a good mover, so there maybe long periods were simpson doesent fire, and thats why i go for smith points, or late, maybe cuts, im looking forward to this more than the main event, very intresting fight.:good

I like the Smith dudes so nothing personal but I think that Simpson will be too much for him, I think Simpson is too much for anyone in Europe personally.

Think Smith will start well but his lack of experience at this level will mean Simpson catches up with him late on.

smith hasn't been beyond 8 rounds and hasn't been in with anyone near simpsons class and experience, but i'm just hoping his talent is enough to get him through the fight.

i don't think there has been any indication so far in smiths career to suggest simpson will stop him...i guess people are making that prediction based more on simpsons form.

nevertheless should be a brilliant fight and a great start to the new boxing season :good

Not really my place to say who he's been sparring with BUT I will say this, He's broken every running time he had and is in the best shape of his boxing life... He'll be ready come September 4th.. He really respects Simpson and that's why he has gone all out in preperation for this fight..:good

Its so hard on this forum to get perspective on this fight on one side we have all Swifty Billy Nelson Frankie Gavin Tony Bellew all making cases. Loads of Scots and scousers all going at each other. I think taking Smith record on paper there is nothing that can really give u san indication on how the fight will go

The one thing you have to respect is the number of pros who have publicly come out and said how special Smith is. he is being thrown in at the deep end and sometimes it takes a stern test for people to really see what a fighter is made of. You have to feel that Smith has that special something that he can bring to bare in this fight and providing his chin and stamina are good for 12 rounds he can show people what he is all about.

This is a big test for him - regardless of the result it's a fight he'll learn a massive amount from.

Certainly better than a load of Eurobums, fringe domestic contenders and other foes for the next year or two.

Credit to all those involved in making the fight, including Simpson, who could have hung around for a big multi-title showdown with Lindsay.

I just feel Simpson is in great form, it will be a special effort for Smith to get past him.

If he does, he'll basically be in the top 2 or 3 in Europe and shouldn't be held back. No pretenders GENUINELY beat Simpson.

May the best man win :deal

Simpsons looking special tony so no quarter asked and none given.I do beleive experience over 12 rounds will be a major factor you may get away with it if your an overwhelming favourite to win a fight but not against someone like simpson who's relentless and very underestimated even steve bell said he didn't realise the skill simpson had.
