    Yeah absolute shocker. Think it was a head clash. Saying that I watched it at the time and still not completely sure what happened to cause an injury like that.

    Got to feel for the boy.

    Horrific. Just watched the fight. My take = Vargas kept catching the ear with the overhand right. It was badly swollen and damaged by rounds 6/7/8. Smith's corner were treating it with ice so deffo an issue. The head clash just burst it open.

    Pretty sure the other guy was winning fairly comfortably.

    Thanks. Not that it made any difference. It would probably have been more gutting if he were in front in the fight.

    It went to the scorecards so had he been ahead he’d have won.

    Vargas was winning easily, I thought. That injury though, **** me that was horrendous. Always happy to see Joe G take an L but Stephen is the only one of the Smiths I like and I respect him for not being a ***** about it. Rigo could take note
