If steroids do not help then pray tell me why do the idiots take them ??? Look at how many sports figures died prematurely & how many suffer serious health issues due to steroids. Ad to this the risk of being caught, except in boxing where PROVEN steroid abusers are labeled as shoo ins for the HOF instead of being BANNED FOR LIFE as they would be in other sports

Also had to do with smaller ballparks, worse pitching because of expansion and the balls they used were also more live than now. Wasn't just steroids. EPO would help a boxer more than any steroid could. **** is dangerous if not used right though.

Roy Jones jr both Roy and opponent Richard Hall tested positive & the commission tried to hide the fact

Shane Mosely.. was proven to have taking Ped's when he fought & beat Oscar. Was almost certainly juiced when he beat Margarito too

Vitali Klitschko was caught using steroids as an amateur Did he ever quit???????

"The spirit makes you a great fighter, not drugs."

Mike is all over the place in this interview. I wouldn't take him too much at his word when he downplays the advantages steroids give a fighter. He knows damn well what they do for a fighter. He's just trying to make a larger point. That drugs won't make a fighter great.

So you think they all took PEDs cause they taste like candy?

PEDs do what they are called. It enhances the athlete's performance.

Are all athletes created equal? No. Are the enhancements limitless? No.

But those HoF boxers took the PEDs to enhance their performances.

Is Mike implying he used peds? How would he know for certain steroids don't help in boxing if he didn't get on a cycle himself. I wonder what other drugs besides coke and weed he was using when he used the whizinator to fake drug tests.

So what the OP is saying is that it's OK for a fighter to use PEDs because it doesn't make a difference?

"Steroids don't unnaturally influence the user"
-people who take steroids when called out on the phoniness of such

"Steroids don't actually do anything good or useful to you"
-people who take steroids when called out on their achievements under usage

"Steroids actually put the user at a disadvantage physically"
-people who support a known or suspected steroid user in athletics

    ---

Apparently some of you think that pro boxers training for a fight are random, never questioned sessions of madness with no thought or science to them at all.

If a boxer sucks and takes PED's, then he still sucks.

If a boxer sucks and doesn't take PED's, then we never really know what he could have been if he were on the level of his peers.

And for that reason, PED users are unacceptable. Without the right and officially breaking the rules, PED users take away opportunity and success from those who would otherwise have deserved and had it.
