Steve Smoger: I have NEVER Taken a point for PUSHING!

Paulie sure doesn't think Khan fought clean against him.

 

You may be right about the pushing.

The compilation video that was floating about of Khan's pushing might sway some people, although, I still didn't like the idea of points being taken away in such a close fight without something blatant.

The 2nd point was also for pushing, not hitting on the break. However, that shot was blatant enough to warrant a point. At least in my book.

That is bull****, I like Smoger as a referee, but I disagree with him on this. Khan was blatantly pushing over and over again. It is not legal. Khan was warned repeatedly, and kept doing it. He got what he deserved. The ref also missed the numerous Khan forearms and elbows, and also let Khan repeatedly pull Peterson's head down and lean on him. Seems like Smoger is being a bit biased in favor of Khan. As a ref you should enforce the rules, and he is saying that he would have let Khan, push and shove Peterson off of him all night. Luckily for Peterson, Smoger wasn't reffing that fight.

 

I like Smoger as a ref, but I don't like him giving interviews & his opinion on other fights. In my mind, refs should stay invisible & not seek any attention. If your giving your opinion on your own fight, that is fine, but he shouldn't comment on another fight. Every ref has a different style. Khan actually did foul.

 

Steve knows isn't the pinnicle of reffing, tell me what Bayless would do.

 

Kenny Bayless should be cloned and should ref every single boxing fight that ever takes place.

 

I never seen a point deduction by pushing before but i never seen a repeat push off soo many times i lost count by khan. Pushing off is illegal. The ref should have deduct a point on khan for holding and leaning on peterson head in which khan did that many times but yet very biased khan fans wont mention that cause they in love with him. And lets behonest in that fight Khan fought like a ***** for running like he was scared of getting ko.

Smoger knows what's up, good call. It's a World Championship fight with TWO titles on the line, let the fighters decide the outcome.

Ortiz was docked one point for blatantly headbutting Mayweather. You're gonna tell me that Khan deserved getting one point for pushing? Sorry, doesn't sit with me. Cooper never seemed like he had real control of the fight, but he was trying his hardest to make his presence known in there.

Y you ask ? because Kahn was grabbing the head and pushing off even when Peterson was standing 2 feet away..

 

Probably punch drunk after the beating he got. Did he make any noise about this after the fight. I can't remember to be honest?
