Smoger is still a solid ref. I didn't like the holding either. Definitely disagree that it was mutual. I don't remember Smoger's last fight ( that's a good thing ) so I don't know if it's a trend. But compared to most other refs , Steve Is by far better. Even if he had an off night. He's known for letting the fighters deal with the fight. Maybe he just allowed it a bit too much last night.
Way overweight and out of shape. Looks like he can barely move in there. Sometimes when he breaks the fighters he forceably pushes them back like he is mad at them or something and that is uncalled for. Get some younger refs in there who take care of themselves a little better
smoger is a corrupt little fecker imo he allows "certain" fighters to hug and hold and do what they like yet penalizes others normally the non usa fighter so looks like Dulorme must have some important people in his corner I did see Alex Ariza but don't know who his manager is or if Dulorme was the promotors "boy" but must be for smoger to favor non usa vs usa. smoger was the very same ref that allowed alexander to hug maidana all night too not a single warning, the guys corrupt All these people that say smoger is the best ref are living in cloud cuckoo land, Benjy Estevez has been the best ref for a long time next best is vic drakulich rest are biased corrupt little feckers like cortez and smoger
