And Stevenson-Beterbiev is not a money fight at all, why would Haymon do that? Haymon should do Stevenson-Fonfara II then winner fights Kovalev, by that time Beterbiev hype will pick up.

 

Because it's always preferable to cash out a guy you control for a guy you control. And Kovalev-Stevenson isn't necessarily a money fight either if HBO gets to air it on their own terms without having to outbid anyone else. Hershman has gone on record that he's not particularly interested in it now, and the total the network was willing to put forward last year was reportedly no greater than Ward-Rodriguez.

Hes beaten every style placed in front of him and is clearing out his division.
