love pac but he's not greater than Duran.

Duran's fought 4 prime guys that Pac would have never faced. The closest being PBF.

I think one can argue that Pac isn't that far behind Duran in terms of greatness.

If Pac beats PW/Martinez winner at MW or PBF, then I'd have him ahead. Right now although you can make a case for Pac, its hard because of Duran's single win over SRL. Also Duran has many top contenders on his resume on the quality, if not better than the likes of Margo, Clottey, Hatton & Cotto.

Name a boxer within his weightclass that you consider faster or even as fast as Manny? Khan? :rofl:rofl:rofl

edit: when YOU are the FASTEST, you can't fight someone FASTER than you.

Exactly my point, dumbass. Pac has never fought anyone as fast as he is, and these *******s are saying he would beat a prime Duran? You know, one who dealt with someone who wasnt just faster, but bigger and stronger than Pacquiao, and beat him? :verysad

An honest assessment. Thing is, they've put Duran high on the pedestal and in Social Anthropology, it's what they call the resistance of "cultural change" even the truth is crystal clear will be facing the strongest resistance in fanatics.....i.e, fanboys....i.e., Joyboys. :yep

If you actually believed Manny was as good as you say he is, you wouldn't devote your entire life to trawling the net, looking for comforting stories on the guy.

Manny's maybe 0.5% better than Juan Marquez.

The theory that Pacquiao would even trouble Sugar Ray Leonard is too ridiculous to contemplate.

Or the theory that Duran would get his butt handed to him by a fighter the level of Juan Marquez

    What are you talking about?

The hardest fight Pacquiao has ever taken will probably go down as Marquez. And Marquez was the much better fighter.

Marquez wouldn't even make Duran's top 5 opponents

It's a brilliant theory, apart from the simple fact that Pacquiao isn't anywhere near as good as Roberto Duran, and won't be ranked anywhere near him

I think you have to be pretty naieve to not think that Alex Ariza just juices his fighters up a bit.

Of course he does. People thought that before Pacquiao even signed with him.
