Steward: Pac is Greater than Duran!!

Pac IS NOT greater than Duran. Duran was the greatest lightweight that ever lived having beaten every man he fought at that weight. Pac is great, but hes never been the best fighter in history at any particular weight. Also Duran was going 15 rounds with ATG fighters consistantly. Pac isnt far behind in greatness, but he hasnt passed Duran yet.

 

Pac may have won seven tiotles in weight divisions and yes he is great but very overated.

Hype? Fighter of the decade and its hype?

Its hard to say which era is better, I mean how do you really determine that? You can only go by what each fighter has achieved in their own era.

Pac is considered the best of his era, possibly along with Floyd. Just as Duran was considered the best of his era, along with SRL. In that sense, I guess their about equal.

Pac was first lineal champ at 18/19, he is now 31/32 and sitting at p4p #1. How can you possibly refer to that as hype?

 

Same reason I did... because of what he's seen with his own two eyes over time. You have to be drinking a TON of hater-ade to still be hating on Pac at this point.

No. Styles Make fights, and Mayweather is nothing like Duran. Pac style of fighting would favor Duran...Pacquiao isnt outfighting a prime/peak Duran.

Na man, he's pretty right.

Manny's you're Mike Tyson of his era. A lot of screaming and hollering by fans and the media, but what happens in the ring just don't stack up to that.

Manny's resume as it stands won't stand the test of time. It's getting picked apart already.

1: He lost at all the lower weights and never avenged
2: Never better than marquez at feather or super feather
3: Only beat guys like Morales once he was pretty past it
4: Everything above 130 is just a lot of questionable, grade B/C fights

Lot of hype with manny. Duran, he doesn't get enough hype. Beat tons tough guys in which he gets no credit

Hmmm, Manny's rep would obviously move up, but not enough to be considered with a guy like Duran.

1: It's very subjective. I think there's more chance he'd lose.

2: 34 is a bad age to be beating people. Especially reflex, slick, speed guys. Pernell Whittaker, Roy Jones, Chavez are all real elite guys who handed out wins at that age. Not sure the people who beat them got the credit they deserved
