    thats true it doesn't necessarily carry over.
    but it's also not a given that the correct training will nullify it.

    i've seen more than a few MMA fighters get trained by nutritionists who had no experience with MMA fighters, and the guys they were training were burnt out come fight time.

    it really can be a fine line between being overtrained for a fight and primed for one.
