I just went on sherdog and saw this: http://www.sherdog.com/events/Strikeforce-Houston-14023 It starts in around 8 min from now
André Galvão has just been called 'the most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter in MMA' by Pat Miletich. :think
Galvao vs Patino is about to begin. I'm interested in seeing Galvao. I've yet to watch him fight, but I have read a little about him.
Quick stoppage there. I wonder if the ref thought Patino was tapping his shoulder when it appeared to me he was trying to block Galvao's punches.
I look forward to seeing what Lashley can do, hopefully if he looks good tonight against the "gravedigger" he will step it up a notch.
Yes, the stoppage was premature there, Patino was still in it. I scored the first round 10-8 Patino, so I thought that was on route to a draw before the stoppage. Judges in MMA rarely score 10-8 rounds though, so he probably had it in the bag anyway.
I hate I couldn't find more footage of Griggs. With Lashley's amateur wrestling credentials, I won't be shocked if he dominates. I picked Lashley by ud tonight, but Griggs looks like he has some fight in him in the small amount of video I saw. Griggs looks like he could be one of those guys that can make it interesting if his opponent tires.
Yeah the prelims finished early on Sherdog when Cormier smashed him. Main card will begin in twenty minutes or so on Showtime.
God damn i better find a free stream for this event, Uk dont get to see it on tv untill monday apparently! Wank man.
Main Card for tonight... Light Heavyweight Championship bout: Muhammed Lawal vs. Rafael Cavalcante Middleweight Championship bout: Ronaldo Souza vs. Tim Kennedy Lightweight bout: KJ Noons vs. Jorge Gurgel Heavyweight bout: Bobby Lashley vs. Chad Griggs
