    KJ Noons vs. Conor Heun

    Round 1

Noons is looking sharp in the stand-up, slipping and timing the uppercut well. Heun partially lands a high kick but Noons not bothered by it. Heun lands his own uppercut under Noons' jab. Noons landing the harder punches but taking a few clean counters and kicks to the body. Heun wheelbarrows Noons down with a double leg and Noons scrambles but gives up his back. Heun can't lock the RNC and instead rolls into a side mount, and starts in with the GNP. Noons almost gets his feet and winds up surrendering side mount again. Noons squeezes out literally through Heun's legs. A very hard right hand from Noons decks Heun but he is saved by the end of the round.

    Round 2

Noons again with the more accurate hands. Heun is throwing the more effective kicks but not consistent enough to keep Noons at bay. Noons keeps boxing, and running out of range of TD or leg kicks. They hook together and Heun staggers back; Noons jumps on him and Heun kicks him off. Heun drops down and grabs for the feet of Noons but too far away. Another hard shot from Noons to the jaw of Heun. Noons throws a knee but doesn't come close; his strong suit is really with his hands. He eats a superior knee from Heun, but then cracks him with another hook. Heun catches a backleg kick from Noons and takes him down right at the horn.

    Even after two.

    Round 3

Noons is routinely thumping the skull of Heun with both hands (including a looping left to the temple), but also getting moved bodily by the legs of Heun. Noons leaves his chin hanging out while jabbing his way in, and eats a jab from Heun then takes the top of Heun's head bang on his nose as Heun tries to duck down for a TD. Heun keeps shooting but can't get a grip on the legs of Noons, who continually backs off to allow him back up. Heun's face is half covered in blood now. Noons backs him to the cage but gets front-kicked away. Heun goes for a shoot and Noons falls to his knees just a beat faster to stuff it. Heun finally gets a leg but Noons spins his way free. Heun's head is then spun by a hook. Three punch combination rips into Heun. Heun knees Noons and grabs him in a front headlock as he punches his way in.

    Noons 29-28

    Split decision:

    30-27 Heun
    29-28 Noons
    29-28 Noons

Two judges preferred the overall cleaner boxing to the kicks and takedown attempts, like me.

Fair decision. Huen is entertaining, almost had the twister on in round one.

Cristiane Santos in make-up, gold hoop earrings, and a form-flattering shirt streaked with pink is uh...unsettling. She looks almost girlish. :blood

Jan Finney is her next SF opponent.

She's been stopped once by Julie Kedzie. She may wind up not so pretty when Mrs. Cyborg is through with her. :think

    Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley

    Round 1

Kennedy starts out with a thigh kick, chases Prangley, and gets grabbed and jerked around before Prangley judo-throws Kennedy to the floor. Kennedy gets to his knees and drives Prangley back to the fence. Kennedy gets a leg wrapped up and Prangley slams him back down. They stand up together, and Kennedy bursts free for a 1-2. Prangley again gets enough leverage to slam him down. Kennedy working in the MT clinch, with Prangley against the cage. Both inflict their strength in the standing wrestling match, until Kennedy finally drags him down. Kennedy worms into better position and rains punches down, mixing up to the body as well as the head. Kennedy winds up on his back as Prangley tries to stand and Prangley taps! Woah, that was quick. What happened there? Some kind of choke...

I thought the same thing. From the angle it didn't even look like he had a choke in I thought and then he shifts his hips and its over.

They should legalize stomps and soccer kicks in any fight Cyborg is involved in.

    Evangelista Santos vs. Marius Zaromskis

    Round 1

Cyborg looks very fit. Zaromskis circles and pecks with a jab. Cyborg swings wildly when Zaromskis gets near. Zaromskis stuns Cyborg with some head kicks but Cyborg is able to tag him with right hands. Zaromskis tries to stay on the move, putting together kick-punch combinations while moving laterally. Zaromskis lands a huge 1-2 on Cyborg but doesn't slow him. Cyborg gives Zaromskis a taste of his own medicine with a head kick that has him wobbled. Cyborg chases after him flurrying and landing, and Zaromskis desperately tries a flying knee and jumps right into a left hook!

    Shades of Emelianenko-Arlovski! :scaredas:

Actually, the replay shows that the hook just barely missed, but Cyborg had a lightning-fast straight right hand behind it that caught Zaromskis on the chin and met his momentum just right to crumple him on the mat at Cyborg's feet.

I like the final hammerfist to the stomach as the ref comes between them. Haha.

They're pimping for the Ward/Green fight. I can't wait for that. Ward is going to school Green.

Hell yeah. I'm anticipating a master-class, and don't expect it to go the distance.
