Well he's only himself to blame, TD defence and silly foul cost him. Still think he should have won though
But if you give Jardine the 1st, the point deduction makes it a draw unless you think Moussasi won either of the last 2 rounds 10-8. In that sense, not a stupid decision. A case where the guy who clearly won the fight didn't actually win the fight.
I was pointing out that he only had a chance of winning the 1st round, and tbh I thought Mousasi won that too
with so few rounds (3 or 5) there's gotta be some other scoring system that better accounts for dominant rounds vs eeking them out imo
Great event from bottom to top. Melendez looked like a beast. It was nice to hear him call out the UFC champ. That's what I'm talking about. And Diaz beats another striker at his own damn game. This kid is unbelievable. Amazing fight. It was bowling shoe ugly but fun as hell to watch.
I agree. But judges seem reluctant to give out 10-8 rounds except in the cases of extreme, overwhelming dominance. And they seem even more reluctant to give out 10-10 rounds. Hence, decisions like the one in the Moussasi/Jardine fight.
you're right and that's why some other system might b considered. i like jardine and he showed amazing tenacity and heart but that was near robbery level
